The Metro's a laugh for all the bizarre 'stories' it has. But please, for the love of god, don't use it as a source of actual news! :p

*-Ahem-* "Actual News" *-Ahem-* ;)

Not to mention the breaking news of SW7's name!

What about MCN, newspaper available from up and down the country. Posting the only news that matters to the public.

Since MCN isn't on the list I voted The Sun... Just to be a troll.

Worth noting that the Metro is owned by The Mail. Of course it's largely inoffensive, and used to have a good culture section in fact, but I always find it more galling than any other paper when it runs something particularly reactionary.

Wait, the Stafford Express and Star should be on the list! I read it for the one and only time a couple of weeks back when a couple of my pictures were in the sports bit :p

If I read a paper it's The Sun as it has the best sport coverage and a nice girl to look at!

Interesting how the two winning the poll are the lowest circulating newspapers in the land, says a lot about this place. (Ie not very mainstream detached from reality.)
I didn't even know you could buy the independent, I thought they gave it away free when you stopped at some stuck up hotel trying to look posh.
I always used to order The Sport in these establishments as I found it mildly entertaining looking at the receptionists face.

Let's put it this way, there are 60 million people in britian, if only half of those read a paper, that's still 30 million, now how many members are there on the forum? so don't apply the results of this survey to the general public.

I dont actually buy a newspaper but I do glance at the sun online. I have to say though It is starting to get boring and clearly most stories are fabricated!. Kelly brook must have some sort of deal with them, shes in there every single day>???! "Here is kelly walking down the road" Next day: "Here is kelly who has broken up with her man.. Next day Kelly brook is back her man?" And rhianna whose always smoking a brown old role up! Classy! Think I may start weening off it and go for Sky news for actually worthy news, not what the Beckhams are up to this week..

I always look on the BBC online news, at least it's not all celeb gossip

As someone that prints newspaper I will say that you should all go out and buy as many newspapers as you can, especially the ones that we print!

I read the I, so a condensed form of The Independant, and the members who have met me on the forum know I am far from posh!

There really is that many mistakes in my posts?! Damn this Tapatalk milarky! :)

Isn't that just a half arsed version of what I said? Obviously you can't apply the results because otherwise The Sun and The Daily Mail would of wipe the floor because they are the biggest selling newspapers in the uk by far!
The whole point is I'm constantly being told I'm bonkers yet the two newspapers that subscribe to my way of thinking are the most popular so therefore most people who live in the uk must also think like me.
My opinion of the guardian and the independent is they are loony comics not fit to wipe my backside with but for some reason they are the most popular on here but in the real world they have to give them away.

So that to me says I am in touch with the general population of this country and the vast majority of this forum aren't.

Well for you the Lowestoft Journal would be a good start, as well as the EDP :p

Usually buy both those papers already! In fact, I was in last weeks Journal...

I suspect the reason most Newspapers are right-wing is because they are owned by wealthy tycoons who have financial interests to protect.

I also suspect that it is the exaggerated spectacle and drama of news stories from The Sun or The Daily Mail, which draws such a large audience rather than the quality of content, journalistic honesty, or the reader's political persuasion. Pretty much the same reason that the X Factor is able to persist.

Finally, even if every single person in the country was right-wing, it wouldn't make it morally or logically sound. Popular support is an indication of popular support. It is not a indication of well considered and reasoned thought.

Actually, that's, surprisingly, The Guardian. They're the only paper with a large sports section that scores above 30% in how accurate its football rumours are. The Sun, if I remember rightly, is stuck around 20%.

There's enough free porn on the internet, why would this affect your choice of paper?

Finally, on behalf of Vince McCaffrey's hamster, the victims of the Hillsborough disaster and the entire people of Argentina, I'm disgusted.

Very good Blaze, Very good.

Argentina though I'm not sure what The Sun has done to upset them?

Seriously though if I buy a paper which is rare I buy The Sun because it gives me a laugh, if I want serious news I watch Sky News!

Edit: that bit about sky news is a joke by the way, I know how you all take things very serious so I thought I'd point that out.

The coverage of the Falklands War?

Well I seem to think it was a war so slagging of the other side is fair game in my view.

Anyway what would any of you lot know about the coverage of the Falklands war, you weren't even born!
