Nintendo Switch 2

Spoken by someone who hasn't, mercifully, experienced the past few mainline Pokémon games for the Switch.
We could be pedantic and say it might be Game Freak's fault. Although, I really have no idea how involved Nintendo are in making them. That being said, they happily parade them out on Nintendo Directs, so your point still stands.

Whilst I do think Nintendo produce great quality games they are very expensive for what they are. Mario Kart as a series has always felt very light on content. When I purchase a new Mario Kart game I usually have a fun few hours racing on all the tracks, run out of things to do and then only load the game again if I have friends over. World at least looks like there's a bit more to do in it, but nearly £80's worth of content? I doubt it.

Still wouldn't Pirate it though. Because if I think something is too expensive or I don't think a company should have my money then I also accept that the consequences of that is that I don't get to play that game.

Now pirating games in the name of preservation I can get behind, but the game has to be unavailable by normal means before that excuse becomes valid.

This is a fair point with Mario Kart, and although World does address this to some extent with Free Roam, that can be a tad tedious and repetitive. Free Roam would have been better if they could have incorporated some more story driven missions etc.

I do think that the Switch 2 is lacking an engaging platformer/adventure game from Nintendo right now, but we do have Donkey Kong next month and then Metroid hopefully not long after which will fill that void.

I am expecting some form of Mario game before Christmas too, similar to when Odyssey came out for Switch 1.

Anyone on the Pokemon Pokopia hype?

I haven’t bought yet, am enjoying playing Leaf Green instead, but there’s so much positivity and noise about it.

Pokopia is nice simple fun game, which has lots of little challenges to keep you playing.

Its like Animal crossing but with Pokemon

I haven't yet played it as I only have the Switch Lite, but I had seen a video review from a games magazine suggesting Pokopia is more similar to cult favourite Viva Pinata! than Animal Crossing, as you rebuild the area and create new habitats to attract creatures with. The crafting is very similar but, unlike Animal Crossing, the Pokemon residents actively help you maintain the area.
