Paultons Park: General Discussion

Why 90%? Surely they should be aiming for full ride availability? Sorry if I’ve missed something, I’m just not too sure what you mean by 90%?

'At the start of the day', I'm guessing they are referencing when they stagger open the left hand side of the park. This is only on term time weekdays when the place is dead, it makes no impact on your day and is done sensibly with one geographical area rather than rides dotted about.

Seen on Coasterforce that planning has been granted for the second area (around edge / cobra).

Look forward to seeing what they have planned!! Combined with the area by go karts, it's a lot of space!
I always thought the go karts were on borrowed time. As they redevelop that side of the park they have a sizable area to work with. I'd be interested to see if they do get another coaster as they only thing they are missing from thier coaster lineup is a big signature coaster which sits above Storm chaser in thrills.

They could still do with a decent water ride and an indoor attraction.

Gotta love Paultons throwing shade!
I wish more parks would take this approach. You already pay a lot of money to get in. Shouldn’t then have a tiered system inside the park where those who can afford it can pay again to jump the queues. Just makes the experience miserable for everyone else.

Edit: as an example, we have just spent a morning at Disneyworld Magic Kingdom and the amount of lightening lane users is insane. It has pretty much ruined our day, we’ve given up and gone back to our hotel.

Yeah I'm aware it's not quite the same thing, I just think it's a bit misleading for them to say they don't sell Fasttrack tickets when they technically do (albeit fewer and more expensive than other parks). The VIP tickets page even describes it as "unlimited Fasttrack".

I do think that Paultons claiming to only have one queue is a bit of a stretch. Last time I went (admittedly on a peak day), quite a substantial ride access pass queue had formed at the exit to Pterosaur, and the main queue was moving very slowly indeed.

This very much goes against what they are saying in their Facebook post about the queues moving quickly.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not anti-ride access pass, all I’m saying is that it’s a slightly inaccurate claim.

According to Poultons website, the ride access pass system is only supposed to let one group on per ride cycle (with the main queue making up the rest of the riders).

The system also only allows for one ride on each attraction per visit.

If those two things are correct then that is a very good system.
