Paultons Park: General Discussion

In contrast to Smiler's build...makes you wonder what if Smiler's construction had gone as well as Drakon's though TBF Smiler did have a lot of bad weather to deal with but I digress.
The Smiler is a much larger ride and more complex plus it was also a brand new model of coaster. Drakon is also much faster build then any other coaster wonder if it has the world record for quickest buildup

That's crazy! Must be a record for a thrill coaster 😛

Apparently it also marks the completion of the UK's first Zero-G Stall! (Hyperia's is a Stalled Dive Loop, before anyone asks).
I didn't know that about Hyperia. It will be interesting to feel how a Eurofighter traverses such an element.

They used different companies for construction hence it was riddled with problems. That was well known at the time

Started landscaping today, according to Lawrence on X.

(Merlin, take note; landscaping does not need to be ignored, or left until the dying embers of the project on opening day ... thinking of Hyperia & Minifigure Speedway)
Didn't Wicker Man have some landscaping done?

Though tbh, doing last minute work on opening day has been an issue going back to Tussauds with Oblivion being a notable example in which they were still working on the day of opening itself with rotary wheels left in some parts of the queue.

I mean you could run 4 or maybe 5, but it would have no impact on the throughput.

When we went to the Superfans event, I asked the engineers how may cars Cobra can run, and they said it can run on 6 cars, but they only run 4, because adding the other 2 would not actually add anything to the throughput.

Look at Oblivion when it’s 6 shuttles for example. 2-4 are usually stacked and it adds nothing. Plus it’s a bit of an anti-climax sitting on the brake run for ages after such a short ride.
