Agreed, Valgard is better finished than anything Merlin has done at Alton bar Wickerman (as a mostly new install)

Even then, Merlin cancelled the food in the turnaround, look at what Paultons are putting in.

Even with existing buildings and attractions, Merlin won’t do anything with the quality of execution and finish as this in TWODW.

6. With 2 already existing within the park (Water Slide and Tractors).

So we're getting half the amount of new attractions, but given the likelihood that most of the budget is going towards the new coaster and retracking the existing one it's no real surprise.

Also depends how much budget is being saved for next season's addition.

Would be nice to have more things, but I subscribe to not adding stuff for the sake of adding things. That's how you end up with poorly designed filler attractions that last 3 years.

Five, if we're truly being pedantic. Farmyard Flyer didn't open with the area, opening the following year in 2022.

Not even pedantic, the discussion was about how many rides the area opened with so a very pertinent clarification.

I don’t think a new area opening with a major coaster, a flat, a revamped existing coaster, F&B facilities, high quality theming and another attraction due the following year, all in an independent theme park and only 5 years after their last multi attraction new themed area is much to grumble about! Not to mention there have been other new attractions in the passing years too. Thoosies gonna thoose I suppose…

I certainly can’t remember the last time another UK theme park was that prolific. Expecting existing parks to have 6+ new attractions each time they open a new area seems idealistic.

It has but Paultons have also increased prices with inflation.

Inflation isn’t a problem if earnings (whether personal or as a business) increase at the same rate or higher as well. It’s a problem when earnings increase at a lower rate than inflation.
 
Wouldn't the solar panels also take much of the cost out one of the biggest causes of inflation.

With really Paultons only being effected mainly by food costs

With the Mack Rocking Boats, we've only seen Futuroscope and Dollywood's so far which would be for more expensive rides

Possibility of a ride that is cheaper is possible

My theory at the moment is either a traditional water coaster or a SuperSplash.

I'm leaning towards the latter knowing it is a 1m attraction and could be as low as 25m. It is different from Splash Lagoon and stands out as a headliner alongside Drakon. I'm also thinking that it would balance the line up by bringing in something for those who may not be able to ride Raven or Drakon, in addition to Wild Swing.

Mack Water Coasters, we have the launched one at Plohn, Fjord Explorer/Krampus or Saw Mill Falls at Qiddiya.

My cent is that it could be a clone of Saw Mill Falls but that might be a tad too wide for the land. I'm not sure Paultons will choose a water coaster for it's first launcher and for Fjord/Krampus, it's quite tall. Custom layout maybe but I'm leaning towards a SuperSplash.
