Paultons Park: General Discussion

Yet.

They're walking before they run. Hence why Cyclonator was a tester for more "thrill" rides coming to the park. Them getting a RMC rather than an Eurofighter was more out of hope than anything.

Expectations will probably change with the accommodation. But currently they've found a nice little slice of business to work with.

Yep. Again similar to the Plopsaland model where they have a vast quantity of well maintained family rides before introducing bigger attractions and accommodation. Visitor numbers accordingly seem to be on a similar trajectory.

No they are jogging at the pace they want to jog at.

If they wanted to run they would be doing the exercises they needed to prepare. And a Eurofighter with 600 an hour capacity isn’t that.

People need to stop desperately seeking something Paultons isn’t planning to be. Maybe one day in the distant future but again geography isn’t on their side.

That's... what I was basically saying though.

600pph for Paultons in their current guise and uncertainty of building more "thrill" rides isn’t dreadful. Only slightly less than Anubis at Plopsa to continue that parallel.

Would hope that next year's addition will be a throughput machine though.

I wouldn't bet against Paultons getting a woodie at some point. It will me interesting in the distant future if the park try and acquire more land one they run out of space. I think 20 years or so and the park will have run out of development space.

A Woodie would be perfect for Paulton's (think something like Oscar's Wacky Taxi), but unfortunately I think the neighbours would disagree due to the noise level.

Paultons were already in quite a tricky planning row in 2009, where they actually got ordered to remove two of their rides due to noise complaints. It was only after failing the appeal and then carrying out extensive noise surveys that they were granted permission to keep those rides. With that history, I really don’t think Paultons will want to push their luck with new installations that could upset locals on the grounds of noise.

Maybe a steel/ wood hybrid could be a solution

as much as I was and still am wary of the addition of a eurofighter, the entire area looks fantastic even with a month of construction left - the attention to small details to give the area life are genuinely really impressively thought out and I'm definitely intrigued to see what they're cookin for '27

Vekoma Mine Train. That's where they need to head in the early 2030's for their next coaster. All round appeal, capacity monster.
Definitely think a Vekoma Mine Train coaster would fit Paultons well

It'd certainly offer something different to what the park already have and would have a lower height requirement too

I've heard the Vekoma Mine Trains offer a insanely high capacity, Colorado Adventure is 2300 pph

This is looking excellent theming on with what Paulton's has, despite having less rides than Tornado Springs this is looking more detailed.

I would say after Valgard is complete they need a Coaster like Millennium for their next coaster that ride is the perfect starter coaster not too tame not too thrilling somewhere in-between that can be used as kids or adults first thrill coaster
