It's was there when I visited the park back in Summer '24, not so many years ago, and seemed too costly to just pack up abruptly (and reminded me of Longleat's animal enclosure actually, but on a smaller scale).Slightly off topic, What's happened to the little Africa area, is it all gone or is the plot still there?
EDIT - the 2027 ride will likely be similar in layout to Skatteøen, but hopefully a bit more refined, and have its own flare.

Just noticed it not actually pinned on the map for 2026 on Thier website, wonder if this will be eventually replaced by a new Peppa Pig attraction at some point. It's was there when I visited the park back in Summer '24, not so many years ago, and seemed too costly to just pack up abruptly (and reminded me of Longleat's animal enclosure actually, but on a smaller scale).

Yeah, but it's a pretty elaborate African themed enclosure of brick and concrete.Just noticed it not actually pinned on the map for 2026 on Thier website, wonder if this will be eventually replaced by a new Peppa Pig attraction at some point.

Yeah, it's still there if you tweak the map. And the big push with the animal inhabitants this yeah is the rebuilding of the bird cage....
It's interesting to learn that Alton Towers and the previous owners of the estate that Legoland Windsor was built upon were zoos many decades ago.

Thanks, it worth knowing as I'm visiting with the family in the Summer so want to make the most of it as we have tickets for two daysI think it is still there, but on their new map it only shows pins for one category at a time, so only shows up if you select the mammal or bird categories.

PAULTONS PARK FUTURE PREDICTIONS...
I thought it might be fun if we all make our predictions for Paultons each year up to 2032, then we can look back and see if any of us was right. We already know Valgard will open in May 2026 and an expansion to Valgard in 2027, so we can start from 2028.
So Here's mine....
2028 -
Quiet year, removal of the LITTLE AFRICA area next to Peppa Pig world.
2029 -
New Peppa Pig expansion in the LITTLE AFRICA area, perhaps a little Peppa Pig coaster plus a small flat ride.
2030 -
Development of the old log flume area with 2 new flat rides, no specific theme, but keeping it generic, nice landscaping.
2031 -
re-theme of critter creek into a space theme, current rides stay, but add a new space themed flat ride. The Edge is moved to this area and re-themed into a UFO.
2032 -
Accomodation village opens
Put your predictions below!

I do agree with some of the above
My predictions
- removal of little Africa 2028
- New Peppa Pig expansion into that area with small coaster 2029. Possible new thrill flat ride addition to Vikings and removal of the Edge
- 2030 or 2031 accomodation
-2032 possible critter creek redevelopment with removal of teacups, pirate ship and Caterpillar coaster (with replacements)
-2034 new dark ride as an expansion to Tornado springs in the area between Farmyard Flyer and the Car Park
-2036 Large coaster where the Log flume area is down to Drakon - This would be that largest at the park
The park would then be pretty much fully developed

I don't think they want or need any more Peppa. The reason you invest in new things is to attract new business by promotion and/or increasing capacity. The beauty of a toddler franchise is new toddlers come along all the time the franchise is relevant so your customer base has a natural churn. Those new toddler families will keep coming, and they don't currently struggle with capacity there. Investment would bring what?
The decision to try to keep those families once the toddlers grow up has shown to be the right one. Those kids will keep growing and the park can keep growing with them, but that entry point remains solid.

My prediction is
End of 2026: Removal of Seal Falls, Digger Ride and Professor Blast.
2027: Demolition of Beastie Burrow and Wild Lands/Little Africa. Removal of Teacups at end of season.
2028: Small expansion of Peppa Pig World into Little Africa and Relocation of Edge to near Critter Creek. It won't be major.
2029: Soft Retheme of Critter Creek and Unthemed area including replacement for Teacups and additional flat rides. The focus will be whole family but with a thrill flat.
2030: construction of new thrill rollercoaster behind Valgard ready for 2031. This would be either a step up from Drakon or a coaster fitting between Raven and Drakon. It is not clear if this will be part of Valgard or a new themed area.
