Paultons Park: General Discussion

Paultons Park have started to send out a limited edition special gift to those attending the Superfans Event.

Whilst I do not want to ruin the surprise for anyone still waiting for theirs, I am bitterly and sorely disappointed that it's not the framed signed photograph of Lawrence Mancey (in his trademark high viz and hat beaming proudly from the construction site of Valgard) I was promised. That's strike two.

Having said that, it's an incredibly nice touch from the park (and their PR firm). I'm very much looking to seeing the finished product, after avoiding all of the spoilers and construction updates.

I’m starting a wager on how long it takes for Lawrence to get a restraining order against certain winged creatures….

2031. This would be either a step up from Drakon or a coaster fitting between Raven and Drakon. It is not clear if this will be part of Valgard or a new themed area.
2031: 👀

I do think Paultons by 2029-2031 will probably be primed for a bigger thrill coaster that is a present day equivalent of Nemesis Reborn, Swarm or Nemesis Inferno (a more grown up Flight of the Pterosaurs), when they can pack of a lot in with the overlapping Drakon and Raven now (not Hyperia, because it has similar treeline restrictions as Alton Towers and Efterling).

And the now quite long in the tooth the Edge would easily be removed by then as well....

How long ago was the Wild Africa enclosure installed to justify its removal or remodelling this decade?

Also I think Critters Creek (and the area with the pirate ship) would be a good place for a big indoor dark ride or enclosed attraction (remodel Critters Creek dramatic entrance, etc).

Attraction Source put photos of what they received online shortly ago. Looks really nice.

Looking forwards to visiting Paultons in June, not been since 2021 so looking forwards to the new area and Ghostly Manor.

I was thinking the same thing, possibly a pirates area or an old victorian style area incorporating the carousel and other flat rides. Its a sizeable area all the way down to PPW.

The "what's new for 2027 at Paulton's Park?" question in the Valgaurd FAQs has been updated...

This all but confirms that Serpent's Curse will be the name of the 2027 attraction!

I'm thinking a fantasy steam or diesel punk setting as well, as a tip of the hat to Phantasialand (and it segues better into Ghostly Manor and Tornado Springs in terms of visuals).
