Paultons Park: Super Fans Day - 18/05/24

@Paultons Park, just checked the forecast for Saturday and worryingly there's thunder predicted during the Tornado Springs ERT. If that was to happen would any of the rides have to close for safety reasons?

It’s just one of those things that yes, thunder storms can mean rides shutting down, safety always has to be paramount. But forecasts can change though between now and then so fingers crossed it might not come to that, but be prepared that it is a possibility.

Whizzing around a tall metal structure, whilst bolts of electricity shoot from the sky, probably isn't considered safe. I would imagine that in such a scenario, the additional ride time / event will be rain checked. ☔
 
Forecasts try to cover every eventuality...and are often very, very, wrong.
There is probably the chance of a single passing storm, but they are not sure of the timing, so they spread the risk in the forecast.
Will pass in an hour probably around tea.
Other, better forecasts are available.
The Met Office forecast is often more accurate and positive, BBC often says rain and it doesn't.
 
Hoping everyone has a good day and there might be more to come in the future. Would love to have attended as I’ve never visited but unfortunately I’m working and it’s far too far for me to pop down to after work.
