Phantasialand: General Discussion

Phantasialand promptly replied and it's generally good news:

We would likely be staying in said suite so in a roundabout way it's resolved itself. Seems the only ride we'd have to queue for is FLY, hopefully it won't be too busy as suggested and we can try and time it accordingly. Or if we don't stay there then i'll just have to buy them separately, it is what it is for this park.

I believe FLY is the ride with lockers where you cannot take phones etc. Am i right in remembering that the locker point is close to boarding? My son would be without his communication device and ear defenders at that point which would make it particularly challenging but if it's only a few minutes then again that's probably doable once if he can see the attraction. I'm assuming a device zipped up in a pocket isn't an option or attached to you in any other way? I wonder if my wife would be able to queue with us until boarding then take said items and meet us upon disembarking? I expect that's unlikely.

Oh and i also specified my sons conditions and level of autonomy and they said: Yes, your son can use all the attractions :D
Yes there's just a short queue after the lockers, just bear in mind that you have to go through a metal detector on the way. You can't have absolutely anything in your pockets.

The locker point is reasonably close to boarding, it's about 5 minutes away if you get unlucky with batching / ops. After stowing your belongings, you go through a brief security check (metal detectors, potentially a pat-down/wand wave if a member of staff thinks something is off). You are unlikely to get away with anything metal in a zipped-up pocket, and very unlikely to get away with anything attached to your body. You might be able to have your wife take items to the unload (there is a service corridor from the load side of the lockers to the unload side), but I imagine your mileage with that will vary depending upon staff on the day.

To add to the above, the locker system is strictly enforced on FLY. Onload and offload are separate so there is no option to leave items other than in the lockers.

RE: Quick pass, it's not clear from the email above which rides they can be used on. Regular rooms in the hotels come with basic quick pass which is not valid on Taron, Black Mamba or Talocan. Not sure whether the suites give QP or QP+
