Over on the "What you've been up to" thread I commented that I had a few projects that were nearing completion in Planet Coaster 1, but I never thought I'd actually complete them. Well, as it happens there was one that was about 95% complete. The ride was finished, but the area around it needed a bit more work. I had some time over the holidays and realised that this ride was worth finishing, because it might even inspire a few ideas for PC2. And so I present,
Time Twister
Experience a flat ride like no other! Jump aboard this time machine and let it transport you to a whole new place.
I'm sure some of you recognise this ride, as I've shown the building off before. But here it is finally complete.
Entering the queue guests make their way to the Tinker Shop. A place where genius inventers try to unlock the secrets of time and space.
Straight ahead we see V1 of the time machine we are about to board for its first test run. In the background is a proof of concept model of the V2 (the flying machine originally intended for the Fairy Tale Flight ride)
Beyond this door the time machine awaits.
Before I go into the spoiler section you should know that you can experience this ride in game if you want the best experience! Just use the link below and you can subscribe to a park I have created for this ride. No further set-up need, just don't enter through the door pictured above unless it is open.

And here's a look at the inside mid-ride:
In this last image you can see the trick used for the time jump. The roof is made up of closed panel doors. When triggered all these doors open, concealing the outside of the chamber. This has given me a great idea for Planet Coaster 2 as this trick can be taken so much further with moving objects being connectable to other moving objects. But only 'time' will tell exactly how this get used going forward.
