Pleasurewood Hills

Out of interest, how many boats have they been running then over the past few years? I last visited the park in 2015.
I didn't visit last year ( first time for many years ) id say it was probably on 2 or 3 at best from memory, id only say 5 or 6 at best its ever had

Despite planning permission not approved construction has started on the big wheel ( im unable too attach the photo)

They have either been told it's for sure going to get granted or they are just going to do it and hope they get retrospective permission. I did think they submitted it quite late, and doing things without permission is not necessarily a good way for the new owners to keep locals on side.

Well it seems they can have the wheel up for 28 days without planning permission? As its a transportable ride

Ive no idea at all

Is there no new logo for the park this year? Probably about due for a refresh, this would've been the perfect time with new owners and all

Nope , no changes. Website has had a small refresh on some parts and a stand alone app has been released

Considering they've put the planning applications for rides in like two weeks before they open I don't think they've had a lot of time if I'm honest.

The planning application was submitted before Xmas, that particular one was redacted, a new one was authorised at the council around valentines week and is still awaiting approval

New app by the park shows the caterpillar West of the Lighthouse drop tower; the spinning wild mouse parallel with the main entrance building and West of the top of Wipeout’s lifthill; the wheel behind the current giftshop with its radial side directly facing the carpark; and the starflyer just north east of Wipeout’s cobraroll behind the bird of paradise building. Cannonball is shown as ‘work in progress’.

The app itself is similar in style to the apps used by Merlin, rather than being a fake app like the Drayton Manor one, or rather difficult to navigate like Flamingo Land’s app.

Yes the "new" additions have been on the app unamed for a few weeks now.

They have now placed a haze over cannonball as its due to be sbno for all of 2026, waveswinger is also not available at the moment

I think that, whilst the refurbishment and reopening of the Aladdins Cave/ Tales of the Coast boat ride would be great, the new owners aren’t primarily theme park operators. They are showmen and as such are far more likely to install rides that can be quickly assembled and taken down, as we’ve seen with Mellors at Fantasy Island, and now Lightwater.

For a park like PWH, which has always been more of a permanent theme park, this is a change in direction which will likely inject a lot of interest back into the park amongst the public. A constant rotation of rides is really what PWH needs after years of stagnation.

The boat ride is more of a permanent feature and unlikely to be the new owners’ main focus. It just doesn’t fit their business model.

I expect some of the new additions will go onto the circuit over winter. I hope we do see ride changes over the next 4 years and not stuck with the same 4 newbies, or even more added on top of the 4 is what we really need
