Furious Baco, Shambhala, Uncharted, and Hurakon Condor all have single rider queues. Red Force also has one but it’s halfway down the regular queue line and up to you how confident you feel in cutting out a bit of the queue to get over to it.
Red Force’s SRQ is the one and only time I’ve ever felt justified “queue jumping” (even though it isn’t really) by walking down the left hand side of the main queue.
I saw in TPWW's recent vlog that there's now a security guard in the queue to prevent people from doing that.
I was there last week the day after TPWW filmed their vlog. I had been queuing in the main queue and was a few rows back in the cattle pen from the single rider split point when I saw some people just go down the side and step over in to the single rider so I’ll admit that I stepped forward a couple of rows to get to the SRQ as if I hadn’t have done that then others would have cut in before me. After I had my ride and went back again there was a security guard posted there but it was sporadic, they were just there for a couple of short periods and it seems the accepted thing when they aren’t there to just go straight ahead to the SRQ. The design of the queue area isn’t a great one as there are several different paths and people were cutting down the left hand side as well to skip a big part, it’s a bit of a mess to honest how it’s set up.
Went and had a look. That basically makes the SRQ completely useless.
I remembered to take a photo showing the location of the new Single Rider queue for Baco. It seems well managed !
On the subject of Baco though, now all of the effects are off or broken. The only thing working is the screens. Hopefully this ride will get a much needed refurb soon, ideally with new trains
I visited the park a few weeks ago. The Express Pass got me on the rides pretty much immediately. However be aware that it can’t be used some rides (such as Uncharted, Tomahawk, Hurakon Condor, Elmo’s Street Mission). And when I visited there were some rides such as the Rapids, and Log Flume that didn’t even have a queue anyway as the line was moving fast.Hello. We want to visit PA with our 2-year-old child, and we definitely plan to buy Express Passes. Do you know how long the waiting time is with the Express Pass? We want to visit the park on a Monday. For example, if the standard waiting time is 60 minutes, how long will we wait with the Express Pass? Will it be around 10 minutes, 30 minutes, or should it be significantly faster, like almost immediately? I want to know your experience?
Managed to get on every major ride 2 or 3 times when I was over there a few weeks ago, but it was quite a quiet day. That being said, nothing was running on a single train which I've heard happen a lot on quiet days here, and I never felt frustrated with the speed of operations.
This is exactly what I thought when I did it, but the operations were great throughout the visit and queues were never very long at all. Didn't feel the need to get a fast pass for example.
I’ve always wanted to visit PA but the operations have lingered at the back of my mind and it’s always put me off going, mainly because I’m an impatient queuer! I’ve heard good things about operations recently though so that’s good to hear I may not need to get fast passes, although they are reasonably priced for the date of travel (€65 unlimited pp)
That’s the same price I paid last month. I had wanted two days at the park so my plan had been to stay in the cheapest “affiliate” accommodation I could find in Salou which would include a park ticket and then buy another for a second day but then I realised that staying at Hotel El Paso was excellent value for money. For one night’s stay at £130 I got included two days entry to PA and one to FL. The train journey to and from Barcelona was super easy and took 90 mins. Just be aware that there are only a few trains each day that go straight through from Barcelona to PortAventura, otherwise you have to change trains at Tarragona (which isn’t too big a deal anyway).
