Cheers buddy, i guess i was being lazy!
Blimey, i remember when they used to £100, like anything else in this world it's gone up A LOT over the last 10 years.
Also i can't believe they don't have an under 16's annual pass at a slightly cheaper rate!
So with the standard you can't 'Visit anytime without restrictions' What do they exactly mean by this? Does that mean say for example you wouldn't able to attend Scarefest or Fireworks for example?
Also it doesn't offer 'Priority entry to all attractions'. Does that mean with the premium pass you get fastracks for EVERY ride?

The restrictions are listed on the right of that page. The main exclusions on standard pass are London attractions in August and needing to pay £5 or £10 to book fright nights at Thorpe. There are no restrictions at AT.
The fasttrack is explained on the left of the page (it is £5 (ie one ride) each at Chessington, Thorpe and Alton). only VIP passes get unlimited fast track. Standard don't get any fast track
Premium also gives free parking, therefore it can work out worthwhile for at least 1 person in your group buying a premium pass as after 7 visits you get the additional cost back just on parking charges.
You do get a lower price when buying family passes but you have to get three passes at the same time and same address to get the family pass. Maximum of 3 over age 12s on a family price. All theme park tickets work on children being under 12 at all the Merlin parks, no discount for under 16s (its better than Disney where children are under 10 only!).
You can wait for the January sale as they usually discount by up to 50% in January.

Thanks buddy,it would be just for me and my 10 y/o daughter as she's a rollercoaster nutcase and as we live 30 mins from London (and not too far from Chessington and Thorpe Park) i thought purchasing these would be worthwile.
Buying them in Jan seems like a great idea, i take it the annual date starts from the day you purchase the pass?
How much are the VIP passes once you get to the end of the waiting list?

Nikfonso - to answer your question about the start date of your pass - as long as you select to collect the pass at an attraction (and not to have it posted to you) your year won't start until you actually collect it.
I have read conflicting info on how long you actually have to collect your pass - either 6 months or 10 months. Maybe someone else can confirm?

I think it should start from the date you buy but there was reports of people buying online and then the pass being activate for 12 months from the date they collected it. Hopefully someone else has more info.
Also in the sale it makes even more sense to get at least one Premium Pass for parking, as the extra £20 for premium you would get back in 4 visits!

Annual Pass has been around for about 14 years (first time we got one it was about £75 but as Tussaud's only managed the London Eye (BA owned it) that wasn't included at first). I remember visiting several times for Air which was 2001 and we had annual passes almost every year from then until 2012.
But the January sale offer has only been done the last 2-3 January's.

Appreciate the advice, I have been a towers regualr for a while , tho I did stop going for a few years due to illness.Annual Pass has been around for about 14 years (first time we got one it was about £75 but as Tussaud's only managed the London Eye (BA owned it) that wasn't included at first). Apart from last year I never recall seeing adverts for annual passes , only went twice last year and for some reason I thought the price was £175 each so ignored it on 4 visits this year, only before our 5th visit did I look at the price and jumped on a family one.

I said in a post previously that I'm not planning on using anything in my privilege pack. Well, I tell a lie! I am planning on using the birthday club voucher thingy majig doo dah thing. £10 for one person is exceptional, and fortunately my birthday is just in season (Nov 7th), so I'll be visiting with a couple of family friends on November 2nd.
Very good deal to be honest, just you'd be a bit unlucky if your birthday was out of the theme park season. Yey, birthday at SEALIFE.

Unlucky for me, my birthday is at the start of March, so I could only use the voucher on some of the boring cheaper attractions. And this year I couldn't even do that because the packs were sent out so late I didn't get mine till way after my birthday had been and gone!
