Thought it best to create a new thread for this rather than crowd the existing Pleasure Beach stuff with a fantasy project!
It's long been mooted BPB would benefit from a dive coaster if it were to break the UK height record. This makes a lot of sense imo when you consider vertical drops take up far less space (than say a traditional hyper) and have unmatched visual spectacles which requires minimal theming. This makes such a ride a great fit for the pleasure beach.
I made a few assumptions here -
A) Impossible & nearby food outlets will be removed (many are suggesting online that these are rumoured to go)
B) Ice Blast is removed
Whilst I originally thought a 300ft dive would be perfect, it comes with a lot of challenges in the form of large sweeping turns and turn-outs to account for speed, and so I've downscaled it to 255ft. This would make it comfortably the tallest in the UK and the tallest dive coaster in the world.
Layout wise it consists of a climb directly out of the station, a 155 degree turn until facing due North. A 253ft drop, a sweeping airtime hill past the casino building. A tall Immelmann and a unique rising and falling banked turn into the MCBR. From here there's another drop, this time 120ft, followed by a vertical loop, a corkscrew and a wraparound helix/trurn into a pop of air before the brake run.
I'm 3/4 of the way through the layout atm, here's the progress so far!
