Queue line annoyances

So we have funny things heard in queue lines but havings been on the park today I started a new game of spot the annoying people in the queue. (smoking and swearing are obvious so go without saying ;) )

1 - People who suddenly find thier partner that iresistable that they cannot keep thier hands off each other (save it for private)

2 - People playing music through the speaker in thier phone (Justin Shitter etc) - When I were a lad (said in a yorkshire accent for effect) The annoying habbit would have been hearing the music through the headphones on the cd player and that was annoying enough

3 - Repeated phrases such as "I reallly dont go on this, ohh they might drop you out, look that columbs shaking" etc etc

4 - Counting down the minutes you have been in the queue, fair enough two or three times in a half hour queue but not every two sodding minutes

5 - Screaming down / up the queue to mates just joining

Anymore?????
 
Well the other day at Thorpe we had the displeasure of encountering a group of stereotypical Essex boys in the queue for SAW. O, and might I dd they were all about 12. It was an hour long queue, during which we heard the most disgusting language imaginable, a 10 year old talk about how he had a go on his girlfriends tits (no comment) and the girl who was with us getting groped by the kids behind. But it was somehow worth it, as when their train pulled back into the station the entire group were whit faced, and one was quietly sobbing to him self (had obviously been crying). And, true to form my dad did that weird finger clicking thing and shouted "brap brap, bad men" in his posh accent, magic. Sorry to go out on a tangent there, fond memory's.

If it had been our group I would have wanted to break the fingers off the little sod for groping a friend.

And Yeah, plenty of school kid groups seem to be pushing the boundries when at the park since they are out the site of Adults, and to be fair you cant even say the teachers look after them since I saw a group of teachers sat outside the tavern (not drinking i add) just gossiping about guff in general.
 
When standing in the queuelines at Alton the last two days, me and my friend couldn't believe the foul language that was being said by those much younger than us. Guess times has changed when I was their age (blimey I sound old lol!)

Now this might be an annoyance on my part but has anyone ever had those pretend "ethusiasts" who try to make out they know so much about a theme park or a ride when they really don't. Today in the queue for Oblivion, there was clearly two girls trying to talk about the ride but they were getting all the facts wrong (it was so tempting to turn around and correct them but I restrained myself aha!) They even wondered to eachother where the SW7 site was *facepalm* ::)

EDIT: Just thought, QUEUE JUMPERS!
 
I had a guy behind me today that kept saying stuff like "32 people a car go on this ride" and "this rides been here for almost as long as the park (Oblivion). Really bloody annoying since I remeber Oblivion being built and I certainly haven't been around as long as the park ;)

Oh yeah and the usual "My friends mum had an accident on this and almost fell out and died" (Air)
 
Tomorrow, I know what my friends will be like. Music, swearing... i've never sworn, and don't ever want too. Its horrible & there is no need for the language.
I'll be telling them a few times "its a family park" but they won't listen.
 
There is often a need to swear. But there is also a time and a place for it.

On the subject of 'the groping' (it sounds like a messed up movie title), what happened was there were two kids that obviously saw them self's as the leaders and were ironically the smallest of the group. Now my friend Charlotte was stood at the back of our group backing onto theirs. Now it stared by one of them purposely falling into her, then one basically grabbed her arse and made it out to be an accident. Then finally he more or less ran his hand up her inner thigh, at this point she told me and my dad that she didn't want to be here, so we moved her in front of our group and me and my dad stood behind her. My dad didn't say anything to them, mainly because there was like 15 of them and were likely to kick up a massive fuss, and mainly because he just doesn't like getting mad at people. We did however make a complaint in the station about them and pointed them out to ride staff.
 
I have to say that at times there is a justified cause for the use of violence (perhaps not in this case if they were kids) and intimidation. They should have certainly at least been confronted in an aggressive manner. However this sort of stance can cause the victim to become even more distressed if a fuss is made, but it makes me very angry to read such a story and I'd find it hard not to at least threaten them.

I hope the girl you speak of is OK.
 
Shes's fine, the main reason we didn't react is because it really didn't upset her. Obviously there was some upset caused, and if they were 16/17 then she most likely would have been. But she saw how small they are and just dismissed them as minor.
 
We were in the fast-track queue for Sub-Terra today, stood next to the single rider queue where a man was shouting rudely to the phalanx operative to come over. His complaint was that he'd been stood there waiting for over an hour, and the main queue at the time was only 45 minutes.

I expected a rude reply from the Phalanx operative (or at least something inkeeping with his role) but he calmly explained how Sub-Terra Worked, how it wasn't often that there was a single space left that they couldn't fill, and pointed out the signs that said that the single rider queue could be longer than the normal one.

Blokey shouted a bit more and the Phalanx Operative said "Well it was your choice to get in the queue" and got back to his job. Blokey walked off and the very next ride needed one extra person! Poetic justice at work!
 
Generally People smoking in the queue line not in the designated locations there is isn't a problem with it but just follow the rules set by the theme park. And just general people who don't respect the rest of the queue line
 
I've been fairly lucky considering what you guys have posted. Smoking seems quite regular though - and annoying when you're downstream.
 
being made to feel like a queue jumper when grabbing a cup of tea in the queue for 13 while the missus stood in the queue. Tea was ordered while we were nearby, but the queue then surged forward. :-[
 
In the Sub-Terra queue towards the end of the queue, a couple of lads was jumping up and down and bouncing the whole queue, wasn't impressed with the other friends was laughing like hyena's at them, very annoying ::)

And the shouting too other members of the family in the queue line "IS THIS THE FASTRACK LINE?" Almost deafening *headdesk*
 
We had some fun in the Rita Queue a week or so back. What looked like a father and 2 daughters (real attitude) and possibly a young wife or girlfriend to the father, decided to spark up and all smoke in front of us. I said loud enough for them to hear to my boyfriend "I love it when people smoke in the queue lines and dont realise there are camera's watching them" he played along and said "I know.." I continued to say "especially when you get to the front of the queue and they send you back.. ha ha" He then said "I know remember when we saw that ride opp do that to those people that time"
Well you should have seen their faces??! they were clearly scared, and the funniest thing they got stopped at a section of the queue to wait for the fast track people or something, and they were really worried, kept looking at eachother!! Made the queueing go a bit faster for us!
Thing is if they make the rules about designated smoking areas, why cant they let people queue up and then get rid of them at the front?! I would if I worked there!
Rules are rules.. I dont get why these people think it doesn't apply!?

I was really annoyed today, first ride of the day for my kids was going to be the tractors, I had to detour them off it when there was a women who would have been right in forn of us in the queue smoking. Went on the boats instead, I can almost tell all the rymes in my head now :)
 
People who invade your personal space. Obviously I know that you have to stand pretty close to each other, but we were in the queue for Sonic a few weeks ago and there was a group of young lads behind us. We were getting towards the front and they started pulling leaves off the trees and throwing them at each other...and us in the process. Then they started 'play fighting' and of course during all the shoving and pushing they kept 'falling' into us. Had the end not been in sight, I think my husband would have had words, but I was very impressed at his restraint! It's sad but now I look at who I will be behind in a queue before I get in it, and if a big gang of lairy looking peeps join after me I will leave the line. Life's too short to waste an hour of it next to some complete numpties!
 
Totally agree! I am the sort of person that needs space in any queue line!

Another annoyance we had on the same day actually is as we were walking to the Th13teen queue, this family of four (so two youngish kids and their parents) raced in front of us to get into the queue before us?? I heard them racing up behind and pulled my boyfriend back and made a sarcastic comment something like "no no stop this families need to get one whole space in front of us is clearly greater"
Its just utter ignorance and no example to set young children surely??
