Rank the B&M hypers you've ridden

Behemoth has a weaker ending than Silver Star. Plus I don't think the newer style trains do it any favours.

Ah right. Thanks @DiogoJ42; I've heard some people say that rides with those staggered trains (e.g. Behemoth, Shambhala) seem to have more drag over the hills than the rides with the traditional trains (e.g. Mako, Silver Star).
 
My list would look something like;
Fury 325
Shambhala
Nitro
Goliath (SFoG)
Silver Star
Diamondback
Apollo's Chariot
Hollywood Dream
Intimidator
Raging Bull
 
I've done 10 so far - my list comprises most of the above minus Mako & the 3 Canadian ones. In the main there's not much between most of them and I wouldn't be confident in ranking them all as there are several I've only done once or twice, sometimes several years ago.

Of those I've done, Fury 325 stands out as being substantially better than any of the others. There are also a few that are notably weaker than average - I'd probably put Hollywood Dream, Intimidator and Raging Bull as my bottom 3. Silver Star seems to get a lot of bad press but I've never really understood why - it's very much in the middle of the pack as far as I'm concerned, helped by the excellent "slalom" finale. Conversely, I don't think Shambhala is THAT much better than average, mainly due to the relatively weak final section.
 
I love a B&M Mega/Hyper.

They scream quality - even if only one of them gets close to my top 10.

I've ridden 2, so it's Mako > Silver Star. Was also meant to have Shambhala in there as well, but the 'rona got in the way.

Out of interest, which one is that? (I’d guess Fury, if you’ve done it, but I never like to be too sure.)
 
Fury is knocking about there, yes! But I like nearly all of them I have done. Raging Bull and Intimidator weren't memorable, but otherwise - all are firmly great!
 
As this is the B&M hyper thread, I’d be intrigued to know, as it often seems to be ranked so highly; what is it that supposedly makes Shambhala so much more well liked than all of the other traditional B&M hypers? Some of the other ones seem to have more airtime hills, and it has similar features to a ride like Mako, which seems considerably more lowly rated.

Is it the additional height? Or is it something else?
 
It is the additional height/speed levels. The end of Shambhala however - is poor.

It is certainly NOT the operations.

Mako looks great, too - that is one I haven't done, though.
 
If they were to be ranked in order of operations, Shambhala would be stone dead last.

Ordered by operations Silver Star has to be at the other end of the scale?
It's probably got the smallest queue line of any major coaster. Half the queue is tempory barriers only used in the middle of the day.

I can imagine that Silver Star might possibly be in contention for the highest throughput B&M on earth; B&M hypers are naturally quite a high throughput model anyway, the ride has fairly long trains of 36, compared with 32 or 28 on some other B&M hypers, and also, Europa Park’s notoriously efficient operations need to be taken into account too. When you combine all of those factors, that suggests that Silver Star’s average hourly throughput is probably pretty high!

In terms of how Silver Star compares ride experience-wise, however, it seems quite polarising. Some people have it near the top of their B&M hyper list, while others have it right at the bottom. I may potentially get to experience it for myself within the next year or two, so I’ll be intrigued to see how it compares to Mako; I’m pretty excited for it, given that Mako is my #1!
 
The throughputs on Silver Star are insane. With the aid of social distancing in the queue line and a batcher in the station, once inside the building we didn't stop moving at all.
 
I’ve only done three but I like them a lot.

1/ Shambhala
2/ Silver Star
3/ Diamondback

Though second, Silver Star is one that grows on me after each visit, it has surprisingly excellent moments and I consider it’s ending actually better than Shambhalas. Excellent throughput too I might add.

I hope 2-3 years from now there will be at least one more on the list.
