Rare Credits

My rarest credit is probably Scenic Railway at Dreamland, if we are talking on a global scale.

The original incarnation? I was thinking the same. Millions and millions road it it its lifetime probably, but a lot of them are dead now. The longer I keep myself alive the rarer the cred!!

Again by virtue of age I'll have a few rare ones for people on here but plenty will have ridden them. Pretty much everything there ever was at Chessington and Thorpe, including The Fifth Dimension, Rodeo in its Juggler incarnation and The Black Spot branch of Thorpe Railway.

Depending what happens with it this season DBGT will be a long term rare cred. Only open a few years, and not consistently open even then.

A currently opperating high throughput coaster can't really be rare, but X2 kind of feels like it is. I know plenty of people who have been spited by it on their trip.

Sadly no, due to my lack of age, but it seems to be down a lot (meaning shut down for the day during most of my visits) whenever I am at Dreamland.

Well I went on Switchback at ZDTs in Texas last summer. The only wooden shuttle coaster in the world.

Wilderness Run at Cedar Point, good old Coastermania.

In the UK stuff like Tokaydo Express at BPB, the water chute at Rhyl, Jellikins at Fantasy Island.

Myself and a colleague went looking for a coaster that was part of an art exhibition in Beijing. Had we found it that would have been an incredibly rare credit. There's a fair chance even the RCDB doesn't have an entry for it.
Alas we never did find it.

Atlantis Adventure in Lotte World is quite rare amoung this forum but I was surprised to see it's had over 50 rides on ridecount.

My rarest has to be The Dragon at Legoland Korea, purely because I find it highly unlikely anyone else will go to visit a Legoland park on the other side of the world when parks with the same rides exist far closer to home.

Not sure I've got any particularly rare creds, maybe Blue Streak at Conneaut Lake Park is one of my rarest in terms of people from the UK having ridden it, especially seeing as it is no more.

Same here, I'm guessing it was my first inverting coaster. Wasn't exactly keeping track back then though. According to RCDB unbelievably that ride is still opperating in Croatia.
The ride in Croatia is the former Camelot Tower of Terror, which went to Dreamland for the 2001/2 seasons. It's not actually a Looping Star, but a Silver Arrow.

The original Looping Star (1981 - 1994) is inexplicably in Botswana.

I think ''Desperado'' at the Buffalo Bills Casino and 'Resort' in the Nevada Dessert is the rarest cred I've got. I was only 12 when I rode it, but I actually still have quite vivid memories of it. I remember thinking how odd/incredible it was that this huge coaster had been built in the middle of the dessert, and you could see it from miles away. I also remember there being a log flume which snaked around the indoor bit where the queue line started for Desperado. Other than that, it was just a sea of slot machines with virtually nobody there. I guess it's no wonder that it's SBNO now, but hopefully it will be resurrected one day.

Anyways, we got the cred, and the next stop was Las Vegas!

I do hope Desperado gets to see another day - great ride.

It's always been very quiet when I have visited, those resorts have felt like that they have been in managed decline for a long time. The pad that used to house the Turbo Shot was still there last time I was there, the tower was long gone though. Also the monorail between the resorts looked like it hadn't operated for a long time.

Rarest for me is “Space Switchback” located inside Shanghai’s Pearl TV Tower.

It barely operated in its original form, but now seems to have a more reliable schedule in its VR incarnation. I can’t imagine it’s on the radar for enthusiasts who make coaster trips as it’s not located at a theme park. It was very average.

Airbender at Camel Creek
Sartori Rides in Mablethorpe
Chance Toboggan that I got last autumn must be fairly rare

Not exactly a rare credit, as Wikipedia says the ride was open in this form for 6 years, but I was on the second train ever (for the public, anyway) for the original X at Magic Mountain, on Christmas Eve in 2001. It was terrifying.
