Must. not. rubberneck
"Rubbernecking is the act of gawking or staring at something of interest. The term rubbernecking refers to the physical act of craning one's neck, performed in order to get a better view. Rubberneck has been described as a human trait that is associated with morbid curiosity."

Another incident at a UK Park. http://www.richmondshiretoday.co.uk...r-valley-ride-apparent-safety-system-failure/
Never seen the ride in person, but reading that, it sounds like it was an awful experience (it would come across that way in the media though, wouldn't it). What got me with it though, was that they were only offered a free cup of tea. Don't know how to read that. Either the staff wrongly didn't take it seriously enough, or the staff didn't take it seriously because it wasn't that serious. There has to be more to this, lightwater valley have been far too relaxed about it for it to be something major.

Surprised this hasn't been reported yet. Apparently some kid got decapitated on a waterslide‽‽‽

Yes that was on MSN, FaceBook and in the newspapers when it first happened...
...the two women that was riding with him also got hurt, ones suffered injuries to her face.
I don't recall the accident being reported on national TV news.
Here are links just to some of the news report when it happened.

Just saw some stuff on Twitter about people being injured at a travelling funfair in Ayr. Not many details yet it seems.
A bit more detail here.
Ms Mcdonald said part of a long seat next to a rail came off during the ride, sending a small girl "flying into the paybox face first, then a boy followed".
