Rumoured “1000ft” Coaster

Not sure where to post this, but I've just had this article recommended. Talk of a 1000ft tall rollercoaster by an unnamed manufacturer.

Team Edit: The above article is based on one posted on International Theme Park Services. In the article, the author states they have seen plans relating to a 1000ft high coaster. There is no location or manufacturer stated, but mentions new restraint systems and the likelihood of needing eye protection for riders.

The Express is notorious for garbage articles like this. About once a year they say supersonic passenger planes that can fly from London to Sydney in 3 hours are several years away, except they’ve been saying the same thing for decades.

This article mentioned Kingda Ka a few times.

Could this be what Six Flags are planning to replace Kingda Ka at Great Adventure? 😱🤔

Me thinks this is all a bit clickbaity at this stage rather than anything firm, but I feel like we’ve got over the “higher further faster” gimmicks some two decades ago now. Much like their sky scrapers, this screams of a middle eastern nation doing it just to get one up on Saudi Arabia. Falcon’s Flight has impressive stats and all, but get past those stats and it all just seems like it’s done for the sake of a record rather than a decent all round ride experience. I’m reckoning the same for this supposed coaster to be honest!

Dearest Owen,

It is Christmas. There is booze. Please refrain from posting when you mix the two.

Father Goosemas can do many things and grant the strangest of wishes. Even he thinks that a 1,000ft coaster replacement for Kings Ka is utter bulls**ting *c**psicles on a c***ting stick.

Maybe eggnog is not the drink for you.

Sincerely, lots of love, hugs and kisses,

🪿

That was partly rhetorical, partly in jest and partly serious 😂

I highly doubt we'd see a 1000ft rollercoaster replace KK however stranger things have happened. It's as likely as if this was written on April 1.

That article seemed to be complete clickbait however did mention KK a few times along with a 2025 unveiling almost as if it was written to make people connect that with the 2026 Six Flags coaster.

I absolutely loved your response - it was priceless 🤣

The oil states are gonna keep whipping it out against whatever new yardstick the internet provides. Coaster geekery is popular now, and they know there is an army of teenagers, who don't know or care, just waiting to give them free advertising.

They have finally realised that even the general public laugh at the idea of "a whole city built in the shape of a giant 3D pineapple-and-cheese-hedgehog and covered in LED adverts" (Or whatever tripe they claim to be building this month)..... So, naturally, they've moved on to something more obscure to buy some time.

I fully expect this to end with an announcement involving the moon.
