Sorry for double posting, but I've been digging on Screamscape, and I've just found some rumours about what this 2019 attraction could potentially be:
Interesting... both of these would be a great fit for SeaWorld San Antonio, although in my opinion, I'm not sure if a wooden coaster would gel that well with SeaWorld's recent aesthetic style. We'll have to sit back and see what happens with this one!
    P.S. Here's the Screamscape link: http://www.screamscape.com/html/seaworld_texas.htm

Sorry to bump the thread, but according to Screamscape, permits have today revealed that SeaWorld San Antonio will be receiving a Huss Airboat and a Zamperla Midi Discovery in 2019 alongside a new turtle exhibit! Should be good additions for the park, in my opinion!

Beat me to it. The park has no flat rides outside of the Sesame area so those two are welcome additions. The new turtle habitat will no doubt be the highlight of this expansion though, it's something that has been talked about for decades but has never happened until now.

Turns out both SeaWorld and Aquatica San Antonio will be getting new attractions in 2019!

News to me, I was under the impression that the new Shamu show wasn't due in San Antonio until 2020. If this is correct, it may suggest that it will be making its debut in 2019.

SeaWorld San Antonio reopened for the 2019 season today, a few changes around the park to note.

Shamu Express has completed its transformation into Super Grover's Box Car Derby with a new train, track repaint and new theming.

Shamu Theater has reopened from refurbishment, as far as I'm aware all the glass panels have been replaced and there may also be some new interactive features for the whales to play with.

Steel Eel and Journey to Atlantis have both been fully repainted over the closed season, which is nice to see.

The park entry plaza has been refreshed, with the addition of trees and repainting of several buildings.

At Aquatica, Ihu's Breakaway Falls has been completed and it will open with the park on March 9th. It's great to continue to see investment in Aquatica, it's fast becoming one of the top waterparks in Texas.

Lastly, the park has also recently donated emergency funds to TMMSN (Dolphin Rescue) to help prevent unecessary deaths of wild Dolphins that strand on the Gulf of Mexico. Without resources and expertise provided by SeaWorld, it would not be possible for many small organisations to rescue and rehabilitate wild cetaceans that strand.

You can see in this video that the ride structure for Sea Swinger has now been fully installed, with the Turtle Reef habitat also showing good progress:

Construction of the new wooden coaster at SeaWorld San Antonio is coming along nicely, with the lift hill now up:

Looks to be a decent height, and looks like it will be a steel support structure like InvadR at BGW. I presume this is a GCI?
