SeaWorld San Antonio reopened for the 2019 season today, a few changes around the park to note.
Shamu Express has completed its transformation into Super Grover's Box Car Derby with a new train, track repaint and new theming.
Shamu Theater has reopened from refurbishment, as far as I'm aware all the glass panels have been replaced and there may also be some new interactive features for the whales to play with.
Steel Eel and Journey to Atlantis have both been fully repainted over the closed season, which is nice to see.
The park entry plaza has been refreshed, with the addition of trees and repainting of several buildings.
At Aquatica, Ihu's Breakaway Falls has been completed and it will open with the park on March 9th. It's great to continue to see investment in Aquatica, it's fast becoming one of the top waterparks in Texas.
Lastly, the park has also recently donated emergency funds to TMMSN (Dolphin Rescue) to help prevent unecessary deaths of wild Dolphins that strand on the Gulf of Mexico. Without resources and expertise provided by SeaWorld, it would not be possible for many small organisations to rescue and rehabilitate wild cetaceans that strand.
