Six Flags Quiddiya

I did wonder why they chose him amongst all the vloggers for exclusivity though. Nothing against the lad at all but there are channels with far more subs and bigger reach than he has. Bit random really but yeah he will be loving life and when that FF POV drops he's going to make a small fortune for sure.

Presumably there was a bidding process though and he won it so fair play.

Just watched his 33 min vlog and the park does look superb in some places but I think a bit underwhelming in others. The coasters are without a doubt the main attraction. The two shooting dark rides looked very dull and screen heavy though.
Well this is an interesting turn for the books, here's the disclaimer from his most recent video:
"Disclaimer: All expenses related to this trip were self funded for this visit to a soft opening of the park. This opening was one of many days of soft opening events taking place currently within the park ahead of its December 31st grand opening."
It would appear that Lift Hills and Thrills is claiming that he's paid for the entire journey and presumably also the first class travel.

Absolutely no mention, whatsoever, about any aspect of this visit being complimentary. Consider me intrigued.

I check out the Virgin Atlantic A330-900 NEO Upper Class package from Heathrow to Riyadh Saudi Arabia, a brand new route for the company in 2025.

This trip began in the Heathrow Virgin Clubhouse before jumping on these wonderful planes as my self-funded crazy adventure to Saudi Arabia begins!

Virgin are/were doing dirt cheap (relatively speaking) deals on flights to Riyadh in all classes so he may have nabbed one of them when the opportunity arose.

I’ve no knowledge of this individual, if he travels a lot reviewing parks round the world he may also have a stash of airmiles and could effectively do the trip for free.

My thoughts too.

Unless he's a secret millionaire then yes im calling major BS on that one. A first class flight to Riyad would set you back thousands alone without the hotel for 2 weeks and spending money.
Why would a solo traveller from UK fork out that kind of money purely to go ride rollercoasters when they could easily fly economy and still be in plenty of comfort and save an absolute fortune? Not buying it one bit.

I genuinely think he's had the whole trip paid for by the owners and he's unwilling to admit it due to public perception.

I'm going to briefly skip through vlogs as they emerge. If I do ever get to the park, I don't want it to be too over familiar (made that mistake by watching about four hours of TPWW vlogs prior to visiting Europa Park for the first time years ago )

What I would be interested in though is the travel/accommodation side of visiting, especially cheaper options other than First Class & 5 Stars. Plus also tips on what to wear, are there bag drops, can you wear glasses on rides ect?

The transport options dont sound ideal.

From the airport its 3 separate metro trains just to reach the point where you get to the shuttle bus pick up to go to the park. And as the taxis are seemingly very expensive you're left with little choice.

Not great really if you want to attract foreign tourists. Im sure eventually they will realise that putting direct coaches on from the airport will be required though when previews are over.

Thats what we loved about Dubai. Even if you wanted to visit Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, the buses picked you up outside the hotels and dropped you outside Sea World, Ferrari World or Warner Bros in 50 mins. No faffing or changes required.

My curiosity got the better of me.

Just went back through my messages and Virgin were doing an offer to fly Upper Class to Riyadh for 46k airmiles during Black Friday which is very very low.

Had a quick look at Mr Lift Hill's YouTube account and he seemingly does travel a lot, has multiple business class reviews and even a private jet trip so i think we can probably debunk any suspicions. If Saudi were covering it you'd think they'd want him to travel on their national airline (though Virgin are partners with them).

It is a bit odd he doesn't mention how this flight was funded (i just endured the travel vlog so that's me taking one for the team but i'm certainly not watching the others to see if they mention it). If the trip was made viable due to airmiles that's the kind of thing viewers would like to know imo, otherwise i'm not sure who a video like that is really aimed at.

Anyway to somewhat get back on topic, if anyone is planning on going there is plenty of flight availability for those with airmiles making it a very affordable trip.
