Hello again, sorry for the little delay, college will be starting up soon and updates will become less and less for this topic. Alas, I have a few little photos here for you and try and spot some tweaks I've been doing with the park!
Summer 1997
After the park opened it's brand new hotel last year and the last few years of new rides and attractions, 1997 see's the park take a step back from it all after the big investments nearly caused the park to head into the red. Unlike the last few years which had a six year plan for new attractions, this time round, the park is keeping things under wraps this time round, especially as park owner Brian Morrison see's this year as a quiet one, though will start adding newer attractions for the years following.
Despite technically saying that there are no new attractions, the park has instead decided to put on a standard 3D show in Corral Town as the park's deal with Nickelodeon ran out. Rather ironic to say that the 3D 'Ren and Stimpy' is the first attraction at the park to close (though with it's notorious bad reviews, it's unlikely that fans of the park and the public alike are sad to see it go.)
This time round, it is a cheap 3D flying experience film. Though it may not be quite that good of a show, comparing it to it's predecessor, there is no doubt that this will be a welcome addition to the park. During the Summer season, here were some photos taken from July...
The 3D cinema. Notice the large Ren And Stimpy sign taken down and replaced by the 3D World sign. This is due to the expectation that most 3D shows here and only temporary and the building will be used for new shows every time.
Also in Corral Town, the park has started accepting sponsorships from food and drink, a new McDonald's now takes up it's place at the park.
Over in Tourtuga Bay, new trees has been added to help more of it's Pirate theme.
Thrill Seeker's favourite, Revelation, has a new entrance sign put up in Lochty Estate.
The ride's banked curve.
Enthusiasts from America made the trip over to ride this monster of a Roller Coaster, always earning endless praise from them.
In UK Coaster charts, Revelation has been voted as one of the countries greatest Roller Coasters (only coming behind Alton Towers' Nemesis.)
Over in the Myths and Legends area, here the rock face structure of the park's aquarium is seen. It has been a rather mysterious attraction as not many Park guests seem to notice it, though already plans are on the cards for the attraction to be given a transformation later on, many fans assume that it maybe a dark ride in future...
So there we go, a shorter update than normal, but things will pick again when we see the park next time! In the meantime, have a guess what the park's next ride could be. (I'll give you a clue, it's a Flat ride...)
