Alright, here I'am on here to put my old RCT3 topic from TTF, which I can say now has an update! For those who didn't know, I had started the topic about a year ago, but gave up when not many where keeping a close eye on it. But now with a sudden burst of confidence, I'm ready to give it a second go and in future remaster the park, though that'll be later, so we might as well start off from the beginning of the park as we head back to 1989...

1989
At a time when many national landmarks are being pulled down, one such place escaped from demolition. This place was called 'St. Adams Castle'. The castle is located directly right in the heartland of Fife and has remained disused since 1971 when the then owner of the castle, Lord Edwards, was killed when the second floor he was on collapsed, From then on, nobody decided to help out the troubled building.

The building itself was first built round about in the 1300's as a watch tower for incoming English by St. William Adams, the building itself grew overtime in a rather impressive castle overlooking the Fife countryside. Then in 1986, a family business man named Brian Morrison, who had been a long time fan of the then young Alton Towers, decided to create the Scottish answer to the Towers by buying the land at SAC (As it became it's popular nickname by coaster enthusiasts) and turning it into a rather large, yet smaller park, like Alton Towers. The Council themselves were up in arms about the idea of a large park being built in the area, but after a long battle, the park was Brian's.

The first thing was create a stylish entrance plaza as the photo's below show.

Shot0105.jpg

The large track piece here is from a Vekoma SLC type, this piece of track however is to symbolise the beginning of a long friendship between SAC and Vekoma.

Shot0106.jpg

The entrance to the park, with the fact that Vekoma being a dutch coaster company, ironically, the building design for this section of the park were in fact from Dutch construction type!

Shot0108.jpg

Inside of the plaza, the attention to detail is very well shown with the large rock face of the castle in the background.

Shot0109.jpg

And a final shot from the castle ramparts, the castle itself will unfortunately not open for the public as it is a dangerous structure, maybe one day in the not too distance future it'll open up to the public...

I'll be putting up the next parts on seperate posts, just to milk it on users here. :D

Ok, so now I'm just going to dump the rest of the park on here, mainly as no one will care if I have rides on the go, so let's carry on...

Spring 1990
Since the grounds of the castle were bough, the park itself has change even more with more and more rides taking their place. In a year which Alton Towers celebrate their 10th anniversary with the installation of 'Thunder Looper', Scotland's answer to AT is soon to be opened in the Summer. The current ride list is small to start of with, but will grow overtime eventually.

Shot0113.jpg

This here is the park's first and flagship roller coaster, 'Tornado'. Built by Vekoma and designed by Arrow, this ride contains a loop and a double corkscrew which no doubt will be far superior to AT's 'Corkscrew' ride.

Shot0115.jpg

From the top of the lift hill, the area seen below is themed to a military camp with the park's most thrilling rides within it, will our guests stand some of the challenges thrown at them?

Just down from 'Thrill Sector' lies another themed area for Pirates, 'Fort Strike'. The fort wall itself cost half the budget of the area on a rather amusing note.
Shot0117.jpg

Below shows that this area will mostly be were the stalls will be.
Shot0118.jpg

Shot0131.jpg

The area, like the others, have still some work to be done before opening, but one such ride in this area is all ready for it's go ahead...

Shot0120.jpg

Currently, the ride is being kept a secret from the Scottish public as it'll be a first for Scotland, by that can be known is that it'll be Pirate themed.

From Pirates, we move on to cowboys, and a true coaster gem for Scotland, a giant Woodie called 'Duststorm'.
Shot0124.jpg

Shot0123.jpg

As it's name suggests, 'Duststorm' covers the 'Rugged West' area taking guests into a completely different setting and probably the best themed location in the park.

Shot0121.jpg

Nerd shot!

Moving from a rugged setting, we move over to the park's kiddy area, 'Corral Town'.
Shot0126.jpg

Once again, the coaster's identity seen here is kept secret until opening...

The entrance plaza has had some little changes done to it since we last saw it, can you see any?
Shot0128.jpg

Shot0127.jpg

St. Adams Castle is now ready to compete against Alton, but has Alton took the Scottish public away from the Fife area...?

Stay tune for more!

'Tis a fun thing copying things over from TTF...

Summer 1990
St. Adams Castle is finally opened to the public to a blaze of spectacle fanfare. People from all over Fife, Scotland and beyond have all come together for the grand opening of this charming park. Below photos show guest arriving into the main plaza.

Shot0151.jpg

Shot0152.jpg

Shot0153.jpg

Here in this photo we see the park's mascot, Sam the Bear. Below we see a brand new addition which was finished just 11 hours from the gates opening.

That was the 'Park Monorail'.
Shot0154.jpg

Park's owner, Brian Morrison, had thought back last winter about the idea of a park monorail. Seeing how useful they would considering how big this park was, he went ahead with idea, though rather late when announced.

Shot0155.jpg

The monorail passes overhead the park guests. No doubt that it'll give riders a wonderful view of the park's woodland surroundings.

Shot0156.jpg

Here it has just departed from 'Thrill Sector'. Let's hope that this method of park transport will be successful for the park.

Shot0157.jpg

Here is 'Rugged West' Station. Along the route, The entrance plaza, 'Fort Strike', 'Thrill Sector' and 'Coral Town' all have themed stations on route, photos of the other stations will be up hopefully soon.

Now remember a ride that we saw but never knew what it was or what it was called? Well now it can be revelled as Scotland's first SLC...
Shot0119-1.jpg

'The Flying Dutchman' (Not to be confused with the Vekoma flying dutchman's)

Shot0129.jpg

Built by Arrow, Riders experience themselves being thrown to all sides. In this photo, up on the hill in the background lies 'St. Adams Castle' looking over at the change castle grounds.

Things though are not all completed though...
Shot0158.jpg

Nearby 'Coral Town', something is up, but what? As the year goes by, we may find out...

More copying now(!)

It is annoying copying stuff over...

Spring 1991
The first season for the park was a triumph and visitor numbers were on average in it's first year hitting the 300,000 mark. Although SAC has it's good friendship with Vekoma and HUSS, it has now has another, the legendary Schwarzkopf. The ride that is built up during the winter is a prototype launch ride which will be a sort of answer to Vekoma's already popular Boomerang coasters. The name of this ride comes from a very special resident residing somewhere up North in some deep, dark waters...

Shot0160.jpg

And here is 'The Loch Ness Monster', theming of it's station has yet to be done though the area it's in, 'Myths and Legends', is largely completed.

Shot0161.jpg

From the air in a helicopter, the ride is shown to have a compact footprint with Two large loops and two vertical sections. (Sorry Oblvion fans, this ride was first! <!-- s:lol: --><!-- s:lol: --> <!-- s:p -->:p<!-- s:p --> )

Shot0163.jpg

Now for some who want to see this Woodie, now heres your chance! The ride's name is 'Duststorm', which is somewhat true to it's name as it acts as 'storm' covering round the themed area.

Shot0159.jpg

And here is a HUSS ride, a thanks point who guesses whats in there. <!-- s:lol: --><!-- s:lol: -->

Down in 'Corral Town', the park has it's first water ride, though I need help with a name! If you come up with a good name, I'll use it and mention you! :)
Shot0164.jpg

The area around is still a sea of mud, but testing is now ongoing.

Hope someone on here likes this park, if they don't, I don't give a darn.

Who will pay to see the place?

Summer 1991
The park enters a new season and is doing all it can to create more guest numbers to rival it's larger southern parks down from the border. 'The Loch Ness Monster' now has the rest of it's theming done and looks quite the part in it's location.

From this, the park's owner, Brian, has outlined a new five year plan for the park as seen below:
1992: New area
1993: 3D Cinema in Coral Town
1994: New European first coaster
1995: New Thrill ride in 'Rugged West and possible extension to area
1996: Park Hotel

The park has now started to go from strength to strength, let's hope any of these plans come to fruition. Below photos show new pictures of some of the rides.

Shot0165.jpg

'Flying Dutchman' in action, notice the new Vekoma cars that have been placed on for experimental purposes.

Shot0166.jpg

FD from the air, note the compact nature of the ride.

Shot0167.jpg

In Fort strike, this photo shows the monorail track going through the wall.

Shot0168.jpg

TLNM in action, notice the new theming on it's station. The 'Nessie' cars were built specially for this ride.

For a park only a year old, it looks pretty much ready to attack to bigger parks in the UK.

Dark ride time, damn, just given away spoilers...

Winter 1991
A lot of things have been going on at SAC behind the scenes. While the general public are still enjoying the year's Christmas, something has been going in an area between 'Thrill Sector' and 'Fort Strike'. What is going on?
Shot0187.jpg

What is happening is the building of Scotland's first dark ride with MACK...

Spring 1992
After a many cold months of hard work, visitors during the half term season have noticed a large building being built up, what is going on? This is 'Lochty Mansion', probably the most biggest dark ride project the UK has ever seen. Also, as 1994 will be a big year, a small year is planned for next year with a 3D Cinema that'll be a 'Nickelodeon' 20 minute film, what it will be about or what show it'll be based on is still up for discussion. Sadly though, the new attraction was not ready in time for the park's half term opening. Of course this being a big project costing nearly £5 million is something to add to this ride's street credit. Here are photos of the half term season...
Shot0188.jpg

Some wicked comes this way...

Shot0189.jpg

The small area at night, highly themed indeed on the outside.

Shot0194.jpg

Though not all of it is themed, the back of the ride is seen clearly, not the wide open space beside it, this'll be used for the '94 project.

Else where on the park, there is though some more good news...
Shot0204.jpg

The Log flume ride is now looking a sight better than what it was like before, the ride is now called 'Corral Falls'.

Shot0205.jpg

'Tornado' in action in it's second year at the park.

Shot0197.jpg

Going through the loop...

Summer 1992
At long last, the newest ride to grace Scotland is finally opened to the public gaining positive reviews by the public and fans alike.

Shot0196.jpg

The monorail goes nearby.

Shot0198.jpg

The large wide area is seen.

Shot0191.jpg

And a preview of inside the ride. Roll on next year!

Diaster strikes the park, worse than Sub-Terra many years later!

Summer 1993
It is now the Park's 3rd season and for the first time, things haven't all gone too well with their latest attraction. 'The Ren and Stimpy 3D Adventure' is opened late in the Summer when it was suppose to open in the Spring of '93, but due to various planning problems with Nickelodeon, it isn't opened until Summer. To make matters worse, the attraction is criticised for being a lousy attempt to cash in and very poor 3D effects which doesn't work with the 2D animation format of 3D.

Despite this, the Park is getting ready to build it's £10 million European first Roller Coaster, hoping to coincide with the year of the Great British Roller Coaster, though three Parks in the South have their own rides to take on each other. But before all that, here are some photos from the Summer season...

Shot0225-1.jpg

The TRAS3DA attraction, with how badly it has been received by the public, it is unknown how long it will stay at the park for.

Shot0226-1.jpg

Here is 'Duststorm' standing mighty and proud, rumour has it that it might get new paint-job on it's trains for next year...

Shot0227.jpg

The Park Entrance, still as busy as ever...

Winter 1993
For the first time, pictures are being allowed to be shown of the Park at the end of the year and when it's winter, and in Scotland, expect the Snow!

Shot0229.jpg

TLNM in the snow, looking all proud yet small.

Shot0231.jpg

The same ride from a distance...

Shot0230.jpg

Up on the castle hill, Tornado can be seen in the distance.

Shot0232.jpg

The Monorail and Flying Dutchman together.

Shot0235.jpg

More of FD.

Shot0233.jpg

DS in the snow, should be named 'Snowstorm' at this time of year!

Shot0236.jpg

Finally the Park Map, note the new area of development over to the west side of the map...

And finally, the SAC PR department have released the first piece of promotion for their new Roller Coaster for next year...
Roller.jpg

Next year will mark a time when Theme Parks across the UK battle it out to gain the best publicity! Have a guess who SAC's best coaster making friends are...?

1994, a year that us enthusiasts will remember...not to mention this stops me copying for awhile! :D

Spring 1994
1994 will be a year remembered by many UK coaster enthusiasts, the year of the Great British Roller Coaster. This is also the year which really made SAC into a major player in the UK theme park industry. With their strong friendship with Vekoma, SAC have now been given a new prototype Roller Coaster that will the the first of it's kind in the world...The Flying Dutchman coaster. A ride that won't have a sister ride in the world built until 2001...

The ride is named 'Revelation', and is opened in the Spring of that year against rival big named rides such as 'Nemesis' at Alton Towers and 'Pepsi Max Big One' at Blackpool Pleasure beach, though rather surprisingly, the later two rides seem to win over more of the public. Nevertheless, Revelation is a major triumph for the park and the park with the hope that the park will bring up to more than 500,000 guests this season.

With it's large footprint and it's eight inversions, it is one of the countries' largest coasters. And after the disaster of last season, there is no doubt that this has really made it all up for the park. Here are photos of the new ride in all it's glory...

Shot0292.jpg

From the air, the sheer size of the ride can be seen, note the metal tin shed of Lochty Mansion.

Shot0286.jpg

Another shot from the lifthill this time.

Shot0290.jpg

Inside the Station area now, the ride awaits it's first riders...

Shot0288.jpg

The ride flying over the pathway, rumour has it that this area could see something to update it, though it is unknown what it might be.

Shot0287.jpg

The amount of crazy track twisting can be seen clearly in this shot, the tree's will be grown back eventually fill in the gaps seen also in this shot too, note the class of themes seen in this shot with the horror theme of Revelation with the modern look of the next themed area nearby, also the park management have plans to tackle this.

Shot0289.jpg

The ride now approaches the final hurdle, the monorail passes by, with new trains planned for the next season to help cope with big crowds, and improve the park's image in the eyes of the public (A.K.A custom content to do the same with members on here ;) )

So now, the park is still much alive here and you'll see a remaster of the park in the next update, so stay tuned for more!

Well, here we have an update, and not just any old update, A remaster almost! I've changed the path textures and replaced some current flat rides to try and make it look real as possible, and this is still in process as we go along here. So let's kick of with 1995!

Summer 1995
Following the unprecedented success of 1994 with the installation of 'Revelation', the park decides to relax on making roller coasters for a few years and instead concentrate on other things such as flat and dark rides, and even the park's next addition for 1996.

The latest new attraction for the park is 'TNT', a KMG Afterburner ride (once again, another Dutch ride for the park if you know the park's history!) which is unique to be built for a wild west theme. But that's not all for the park, another investment for the park (which had been planned since the park opened five years ago) was the installation of a new monorail train system, which many coaster enthusiasts will see has been done by Von Roll.

The main reason for replacing the trains was incase if the park was to get busy overtime, they would use the new trains. It also seems to have been a wise chose to do so as the original monorail trains had rather low capacity that would cause big queues, especially in the Summer seasons. It's hoped that these new trains will help a great deal as the park will become more popular with not only guests from other parts of the UK, but a new crowd from the United States and others, all coming to ride the 'Revelation' for it being the first of it's type built.

And even the story doesn't end there, veteran ride 'Tornado' has had new trains added from Vekoma to help cope with it's new found roughness among guests. Finally, visitors will have noticed something going on nearby in the car park area, so let's look at the photos from the start of the Summer season, before guests would be swarming all over the park...

Shot0313.jpg

Here is 'TNT'. Notice the surrounding area being half done, this was original part of a extension to the 'Rugged West' area, but with costs elsewhere, the plans have been shelved, but it is very likely this will be done at a later date.

Shot0320.jpg

Park favourite, 'Duststorm', seen here in action. Rumour also has it that it's new trains could be added later on, though when is another question.

Shot0314.jpg

And here are the new monorail trains. Each train has eight coaches on them, much more than five on the old trains. Notice the drop of 'Corral Falls' in the background there.

Shot0315.jpg

'Corral Town' has had a bit of a makeover too, the area now boasts a new path texture. Pity it still has a very bad 3D show though...

Shot0303.jpg

Here the Monorail passes by the land. TLNM can just be seen on the right of the picture.

Shot0304.jpg

Over in 'Thrill Sector', 'Tornado' has had it's new trains fitted, here are several of the ride's operators during a day off when Brian Morrison, park owner, allowed them to be the first to test the new trains.

Shot0316.jpg

The famous park shot of the ride's corkscrews. Here the trains pass by through the corkscrews.

Shot0317.jpg

On the last drop before the breakrun, notice how trees in the background have grown back.

Shot0322.jpg

Moving onwards, the park's new flagship ride's banked curve. In the background, the park has brought in tress from the North to help separate the two areas here.

Shot0321.jpg

The Monorail snakes it's way passed the area. It is rather clever that the ride's hill here helps separate the area here, much like with 'DS'. Though the tin shed as part of 'Lochty Mansion' can still be seen here, much to the annoyance of theme park theming lovers who have begged for it to be covered up in some way.

Shot0324.jpg

Even from the ground, the ride still look's menacing for first time guests to the park.

Shot0327.jpg

From a helicopter shot, the top of the ride is seen, with 'Flying Dutchman' in the background. For some Dutch coaster enthusiasts who have been to the place, they find it rather funny that the Scots have many Dutch additions to the park, some say it would fit well in Holland!

Shot0318-1.jpg

Here is the HUSS Pirate ship ride 'Sea Raider' in the Pirate area which now has been named 'Tortuga Bay', notice the extended Monorail station in the background to accommodate the new trains.

Shot0319.jpg

Here is an interesting shot of the queue area for FD, another ride that has been here since the park opened.

Shot0325.jpg

On the lifthill, the Vekoma cars are seen here.

Shot0323.jpg

Finally, a shot that was taken later on in the Summer when guests swap the park in their thousands. But oh yeah, that certain something going on near the car park...

Shot0310.jpg

A few trucks have arrived and a lot of clearance has been done here, if those who read the plans might have an idea where this is going...

So there we are! The next photos in the next update will all be on what is going on with this bit here near the car park, exciting times ahead! And please, give me ideas of what I can add to the park either ride or theming wise.

I've also considered the idea that I can exclusively give the park over to some users here so they can act out a "trip report" and such, though with lots of custom content on this park, I'm not so sure. But anyway, stay tune for the next update whenever it might be!

Alright then, it is another update of a very interesting type! Now for the next set of updates will show a year long construction of something you may like to see, but I won't spoil anything for you, you'll have to read the rest here to find out, so here we go!

Late Summer 1995
For the first time in the park's history, the 1996 season will have no new attractions or rides in the park, but it doesn't that ANYTHING will be there in '96. From the start of the '95 season in March, guests would've noticed construction work nearby the car park. To the general public, whatever could be going here is anyone's guess, though a small knot of fans are pretty much in the know what will be going there!

And that's not the end of the story, while 1996 seems to be a quiet year for the park on the outside, behind the scenes is another story. As the park is stating to become a rising force in the UK theme park industry, it is important to have good transport links and be in a spot that is easily accessible from other towns nearby, and SAC happily is in easy access from Edinburgh and Dundee and of course the rest of Fife.

One major plan for the park has is a rail link. The plan is to reinstate a small section of the now disused Fife Coast Line (which closed during the Rail cuts of 1965-69 across British Railways) from Leuchars to St Andrews and a new stretch of line to the park. Though this is all but a pipe dream for the park, if a deal can be made with Network Rail and Railtrack, the line could be opened in 1999-2000. Who knows how things may turn out for the park...

MAP.png

A map of Fife and what the plans are for the rail link, note where SAC is based the farmyard country, in this area is where the park's dark ride 'Lochty Mansion' got it's name from the Lochty area here.

CASTLELOGO.png

The Park is also changing it's image to accommodate 'Revelation' on the logo, which will be seen in 1996. Just going to show much this ride has become the Park's flagship attraction. It also has now the sub heading 'Scotland's Great Adventure', though why it is not naming itself 'Scotland's Theme Park' is a bit of a mystery...

Shot0352.jpg

The first cars of the day coming into the car park for the start of another day at St Adam's Castle. The old park logos seen here will be replaced next year. But look at the giant building in the background...

Shot0357.jpg

As can be seen, a large car park has been made, thank goodness for no parking charges...

Shot0355.jpg

And here is the building works, already the workers have done a lot in short space of time, though more will be needed for the inside.

Shot0356.jpg

The coach spaces here. Already the guests here had left the coaches to begin their day at the park.

Shot0354.jpg

Taken earlier before the park opened, the way to the theme park itself, quite a walk as seen here.

Shot0358.jpg

In all of this, the construction work catches guests attentions as seen here with this large group of friends. Who knows what idea might be going through their heads at what the finished result will be?

So there you are for now, hopefully you'll get another update...soon. But in the meantime, enjoy what you have. Plus, I'm accepting any ideas that you might have that I can add to the park at a later date, or even what could be improved on. :)

The Pavement set I think is Jordy's path covers, which has pieces that can make paths go diagonal, fences that do the same are part of Shyguy's Planters set, both I highly recommend. :)

Ah, the road was part of a major download spree. But I do think they are part of the Asphalt roads, but I can't really remember what their name really is.

I don't think their Aceana's, I know that "Little Mac's Road Stuff" has some terra-conforming road bits like that in but I'm unsure.

Looks good, it's a rapidly improving park and very realistic. I'm keen on the overuse of the in game path but other than that you've got a very pretty park going. I'd like to see more!

It's time for another update as we approach an important time in the park's history, but let's not spoil anything here, so let's begin with 1996!

Spring 1996
In the year when England hosts EURO 96 for the football, every fan of SAC and neutral theme park fan will remember that 1996 was a year that the park decided to show that they really meant they were ready to compete with the big boys, the opening of the park's new hotel. Right at the same time, Alton Towers also in the same year open up their new hotel, though a more larger one than what SAC has to offer.

Nevertheless, those working for the park are pretty happy of how things are turning out for the park, especially with the park's six year plan sheet now done with the installations all completed. Whatever the park might install next or complete a similar type of plan sheet remains to be seen. And with the park now spending a huge bundle of money (especially adding new pieces of theming yearly), it can be said that park owner Brian Morrison is wanting to rest the park's fiancees for a small period until he feels the park is ready for big installations next.

The hope is that the park's new hotel (named 'The St. Adam's Hotel') Will help bring money in for the park. So here are a collection of photos from the Easter holiday period in Scotland...

Shot0387.jpg

The park's new logo's can be seen here, and the new hotel in the background...

Shot0399.jpg

The hotel was completed in recorded time and trees and any foliage has yet to grow, though is hoped it will grow over the years.

Shot0398.jpg

Another busy day is set for the park as guests swarm about the car park heading for the park.

Shot0397.jpg

From the air, the size of the hotel can be seen. The current hotel is only one third of what the original hotel was planned to be. The reason for making it smaller was that the budget was getting out of hand, so this had to do.

Shot0396.jpg

Looking out from one of the rooms at the car park.

Shot0394.jpg

In this section of the building seen here, is the small hotel pool.

Shot0393.jpg

The pool is only opened for hotel residents...

Shot0392.jpg

...And if your saying here at the park, it is a great way to relax after your day out at the park.

Shot0391.jpg

Another shot from the air of the pool area.

Shot0389.jpg

Notice a bit of mud seen in the shot, just a sign to show that the hotel is just finished.

Shot0388.jpg

Guests heading on their way to the park.

Shot0385.jpg

Now inside the park now, this shot is from the main street (named 'Adams' village) looking up at the castle, will we see the day when guests make their way up to the castle? Morrison will have to ask Historic Scotland first...

Shot0386.jpg

'Revelation' standing all tall and proud in the Scottish sunlight.

Shot0375.jpg

Since it's opening, the park has added numerous additions to the ride over years theming wise, and is starting to become a bit of a running joke with fans wondering what they'll add next. Here the ride has a new castle themed station.

Shot0374.jpg

The queue area has received a bit of TLC too with the theme that guests are exploring a graveyard and that they are about to ride the ghost of hell know as Revelation.

Shot0376.jpg

The entire area is named 'Lochty Estate', guests will explore the haunted remains of these parts of the castle grounds, a new wall has been erected (as well having one on the other part near 'Thrill Sector' to help separate the area from the rest.)

Shot0377.jpg

Over in 'Thrill Sector', park veteran 'Tornado' still does it's part to bring in the crowds.

Shot0384.jpg

Tornado on the break run here, notice the over train in the station waiting to leave with another load of passengers.

Shot0380.jpg

'The Loch Ness Monster', despite it's compact size, still packs a punch, though with reports up at Loch Ness with doubts about the creature's existence does at times to some visitors as a bit of a joke. Re-theme on the cards?

Shot0379.jpg

Over in 'Tortuga Bay', the station has had new theming added to it, but that's not the only thing that's new here...

Shot0378.jpg

...More greenery has been added to help bring a more 'Pirate' theme, notice a new path type that has been added.

So that's all for now! Please say what you think of this and tell what should be added next (nothing B&M related now! That might come at a later date!) So in the meantime, catch you later. :)
