Strange Roller Coasters

Intriguingly, that park also has a direct clone of Cyclone at Pleasureland Southport: https://rcdb.com/2485.htm

And in an interesting coincidence, the only other wooden coaster in India, built by the same manufacturer, is a clone of Blue Flyer at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, located at EsselWorld: https://rcdb.com/1390.htm

I wonder what the fascination was with the Pleasure Beach company's woodies in India? India is certainly a place to visit for you if you're missing Pleasureland Southport's Cyclone, though!
 
There are loads of those water chutes out in India. Essentially a Pinfari Zyklon that drops into a pond. Some of them are… A little worse for wear to say the least.

Yes that's correct. @Poisson pointed out to me the other week that Blackpool pleasure beach have built two other coasters, The cyclone you've mentioned and another one which is apparently a clone of the old wild mouse here is there manufactured list on RCDB

Oh fair enough, I hadn't seen one before and thought it was quite unusual. My apologies @Ian
 
I find National Coasters' intonation really hard to listen to. But I may attempt to use subtitles.
 
I've done Mega Spin. It left red welts that lasted for days on my shoulders. Fun though, if the restraints are a bit tight.

I did Mega Spin at the Newcastle Winter Wonderland fair at Christmas. I’d describe the experience as basically being Salad Spinner: The Ride. It was a very long cycle as well, and when it inverts you drop down on to the restraints with your shoulders taking all the weight. It’s really not the most comfortable experience at all. I’m glad I tried it because it’s a really interesting looking ride but I think it’s a one-and-done for me.

A couple of strange looking contraptions here. The tagada prototype and spinning floor wheels at the end both look like great fun. I struggle to understand why a modern day Virginia Reel doesn't exist.

Done most of those in a very similar style at Blackpool in the old funhouse.
Needless to say my beautiful old Reel was right next door.
Bring back the Reel.
All the above were real social mixers, how to make new and interesting friends.
 
Unsure if this has already been posted, just stumbled upon this on YouTube and couldn’t believe it was real.

Genuinely does look like an in game planet coaster blueprint.

Also judging by the comments it’s at a park that isn’t really that busy. It’s actually quite funny looking at the surroundings as there’s pretty much nothing around.

I couldn't find a better home for this. Doom scrolling through RCDB on the train, I never knew that Soquet employed such a bizarre construction method for their coasters, almost akin to the construction of a wooden coaster.

Explains a lot. Maybe.
