Surreal news articles

Not sure that's surreal.
Was about to say the same thing. It's not all ghat uncommon either, although this is obviously a bigger and more high profile event than your average.

Having been a lifeguard in a previous life, the chemicals used are a dangerous and nasty business and the training and controls on their use is as comprehensive as the jumping in and rescuing people bit.
 
Whoops...

A driver treated themselves to a Ferrari - and then crashed it after driving less than two miles (3.2km), police said. 🙈

Feel like I've heard that story before, it probably happens a lot! I expect a lot of people buy a fast car and take it out for a spin without a clue how to actually drive it!
 
I strim plastic grass all the time.
I weed it, treat it with weedkiller, vacuum it and jeyes fluid treat it.
I also use insecticides and ant treatments on "sunbed corner".
In two particular gardens, I jetwash it and then go back to vacuum it a few days later.
Better solution for people with pets and small lawns.
Never strimmed a roundabout though...jealous.
