Surreal news articles

I once read that someone was at an art gallery and they noticed an empty table, so went out and got a pineapple and put it on there.

Went back a week later and they had put glass over it and people were taking photos

If true then pretty funny

Tracy Emin did a messy bedroom art titled "My Bed" in 1988, if I want to see something that rivals this, I just need to look inside my daughter bedroom, which looks like a bomb has hit her bedroom any time of the day.

I have actually seen this in person in Margate. It didn't impress me. The gallery is worth a visit though as there's more "traditional" artwork there as well.

Plus, it's within walking distance of the railway station and Dreamland. Not bad!

We love Tracy here. She’s the towns slightly deranged sweetheart!

Walmart has hastily withdrawn this sweater from its Canadian website

Walmart has issued an apology after releasing a Christmas jumper that appears to show Santa with lines of cocaine.

On the blue Christmas jumper, Santa is seen sitting behind a table with three lines of a white substance in front of him, captioned with the slogan: "Let it snow."

The product's description said: "We all know how snow works.

"It's white, powdery and the best snow comes straight from South America. That's bad news for jolly old St Nick, who lives far away in the North Pole.

"That's why Santa really likes to savour the moment when he get his hands on some quality, grade A, Colombian snow."

...

Walmart has now apologised and withdrawn the range from its website.

A Chinese man who was flying for the first time has been fined for throwing "good luck" coins into a plane's engine.

The 28-year-old was ordered to pay $17,200 (£13,100) in compensation to the budget airline - called Lucky Air.

The plane was grounded after the coins were found near one of its engines.

Lu Chao admitted throwing the coins as he boarded an internal flight at Anqing Tianzhushan Airport in eastern China in February 2019.

He appeared in court in July but the ruling was only recently made public.

An old lady did it, and got away with a telling off, a couple of years ago.
Come on, chucking coins in a jet engine intake is obviously lucky.

Plymouth man denies attack with seagull

A man has denied wielding a seagull in a fight with a cafe customer.

Paul Elcombe, 26, allegedly threw the bird at Kyle Towers at Goodbody's cafe in Plymouth on 12 May last year.

Mr Elcombe, from Greenbank in Plymouth, appeared at the city's crown court to deny wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

No plea was entered to another charge of attempting to injure a wild bird. Mr Elcombe was remanded on bail for trial at Plymouth Crown Court on 7 April.

Been to the coast with a bag of chips recently Diogo?
Scared for my life last time I played with the gulls on the prom.
More than happy to peck your tray right out of your hand.
Would add that assault is possible, but actual gbh with a gull is going to take some skill.
They are a bit soft and fluffy.
