How about this. This would work so well in Gloomy Wood over something such as scarefest, with a very subtle but potent lighting package.

Another world class iconic piece of theme park music.

Perhaps, but personally I'd go for the sinister Garden soundtrack for Gloomy Woods area over the Vestibule soundtrack. Don't get me wrong, both are incredible pieces of Theme Park music, but I think the Vestibule would work better in the rides indoor queue and station, and the Sinister Garden soundtrack is just more daunting and atmospheric for the outdoors personally.

As of late, it seems like Merlin are trying to stray away from what Tussauds built up in the park on the theme and tonal scale, so I wouldn't get your hopes up about it happening anytime soon sadly.

This is a bloke I follow on the YouTube™. Does alot of things local to me. Good views of inside the station aswell.

Not a bad little video. He does do some decent stuff. Has a nasty habit of not fully researching before he goes. So does that awful thing of guessing vocally whilst having text explain the history. Would avoid his nemesis and what's it called at thorpe park opening day videos. As you will see, he does like to put his mug on and talk about himself.

Not a patch on our very own @BarryZola least Barry does his homework.

Not watched the video above but I did watch the one about the old park railway within AT a couple of months back. He was inaccurate with a couple of things in the park railway vid but when I did point that out in his Youtube comments he was very gracious about it to be fair, and he didn't mind me sharing a link to my older park railway vid after that in his comments. Came across as quite humble and seemed a decent bloke 👍 :)

That's good to hear about him.

2005 behind the scenes look at Black Hole. A few minutes of various clips showing the internal ride system with lights on and some of the maintenance area. Love the station area theming!

Thanks for sharing this.
Along side the flume and toyland tours, this ride is one I truly miss. Should have been kept and maintained at all costs in my opinion.

Smiler is great but surely would have fit somewhere else in the park?

The issue with Black Hole was around fire exits, the spiral lift hill was especially a problem, by the time someone had got up to the train and escorted everyone down it was seen as exceeding the maximum fire safe time. A bridge directly to a fire exit from the top of the lifthill might have worked to avoid the long walk up/down and spiral but I expect the cost wasn't worth it. The Black Hole was not removed to make space for the The Smiler, hence the site sitting vacant for a while
