Everybody hating on Rita R. I. PI'd love to see an Intamin Blitz like Velocicoaster for SW9 to replace Rita, but I'm not sure Towers would work with Intamin again after Th13teen's issues.
In fairness, Thirteen was 11 years ago, and a very different coaster to what any prospective Intamin Blitz would be. (Far more experimental, to say the least)I'd love to see an Intamin Blitz like Velocicoaster for SW9 to replace Rita, but I'm not sure Towers would work with Intamin again after Th13teen's issues.
Interesting as I thought Chessington were leaning towards families rather than thrillWait is it?
I don't hate it, I just feel that it doesn't fit in with the area and the space it takes up could be better utilised.Everybody hating on Rita R. I. P

Yeah it's fine don't worry we all have different opinions I'm just surprised more people don't want to save itI don't hate it, I just feel that it doesn't fit in with the area and the space it takes up could be better utilised.
The common rumour is that the ride will be some sort of family wing coaster from B&M. The ride has previously been referred to as a family thrill ride (in spite of a 1.4m height restriction) and Merlin are building numerous LEGOLAND parks in China with similar B&M family coasters, so I think that would make sense myself. I’ll admit that a B&M wing wouldn’t have been my personal choice for Chessington, nor my go to choice for a family thrill coaster, but I’ll reserve judgement on how it rides until Chessington’s ride opens in 2023.Interesting as I thought Chessington were leaning towards families rather than thrill
Yeah sounds about right to be honestYou are correct, Chessington doesn't seem to know what it is or who it's for.
Chessington mostly lean towards throughput nightmares, seems to be their primary stipulation.

There’s rumoured to be a pretty large-scale deal with B&M that Merlin now has at their disposal, with Chessington’s coaster and the Chinese LEGOLAND coasters said to have spawned this. With that in mind, could SW9 possibly be the park’s first B&M since Galactica?
Fair enough i personally am a big fan of Rita however I can understand the mindset behind removing itSorry for double posting but Chessingtons coaster isn't really a rumour a planning application has been made all the details are in the chessington thread from about here where the speculation stops and the application goes in: https://towersstreet.com/talk/threads/chessington-world-of-adventures-resort.97/page-238
Secondly, I think most people just find Rita really average compared to the other coasters in the park and that a lot of us wouldn't mind seeing it go if it is replaced by a much better coaster. I don't think Rita will go for SW9 but I think it is very possible it will go for an SW down the line probably SW10 although this is just my personal speculation.
No, they’d never get planning permission there because it would obscure the view of The TowersIn terms of location could the lake (when you walk into the park) be used as part of the layout or would this be impractical?
Yeah good pointNo, they’d never get planning permission there because it would obscure the view of The Towers
