The Alton Towers Music, Video and Other Multimedia Thread

Do you know where exactly?
I'm not sure, I understand what you mean?

I wonder if we'd maybe one day get the peter rabbit on ice soundtrack, wasn't it done by graham smart
Well a copy was recently sold on Ebay, so you never know.

[Edit]Actually, speaking of Ebay, there is currently a cassette on sale of the Haunted House soundtrack as well as Bubblework and The Vampire from Chessington:

Wonder who has that?

I’ve been lucky and actually managed too pick up a few good bits of media recently-ish.

Peter Rabbit and Friends on Ice - 94-97 soundtrack and 98-00 soundtrack.

And Henry’s Parade music Tape including a CD rip

The Nemesis comic (if it counts)

Otherwise in the collection:

A universal music compilation CD containing the “Stressed Out” Oblivion track.

Haunted House and Toyland Tours official soundtrack CD

Otherwise I’m still looking for:

Nemesis original soundtrack CD

Any original Air soundtrack (that isn’t the ones already available)

Any original HQ Towers Street, CATCF or TRRR audio or decent list of the original Spinball playlist

I would love to share this with you all, I know its not official, but I felt it might be appreciated, especially for those who were fans of Ripsaw.

I'm sure everyone is familiar with the wonderful Graham Smart Towers Street suite (say that after a couple gins); long story short, myself and @Trooper Looper found what seems to be a much higher quality version, and after he cleaned it up a little bit, it's been plonked online for all to listen to.

There's a lot of detail in the track that's been hiding there amongst various levels of compression; hopefully this edition sounds better!

Also restored the old 1991 logo if anyone wants to use it for anything.

Allow me to explain this.

I’m aware that the very nature of this topic is about the videos themselves that are being posted, but when no further information accompanies the link it can come across as spammy. As per our Member Guidelines, under “Media in Posts”:
TS Member Guidelines said:
Videos should only be posted if they add to discussion, and should also be accompanied by opinions or viewpoints of your own. Posting videos without your own views or opinions is considered spamming, and the team will remove posts where identified.
As far as I’m concerned, simply posting a link to a video is no different to being subscribed to a YouTube channel. This is a discussion forum where voicing an opinion is the name of the game.

Thank you.

Interesting that Nemesis in this video was the same age that Nemesis Reborn now is give or take a couple of months!

And for those that complain that Toxicator isn't as good as Ripsaw was, at 11:15 is a full cycle. At about 1m30s, it's about 30 seconds shorter than Toxicator and only spins 3-4 times. I know Ripsaw had different cycles with more spins but at least Toxicator's is a consistent 2 mins with 6-7 spins and as far as I know is never any less than that.

Ripsaw was often operated manually, so the cycle depended on who was operating it.

That's programme 4 from Ripsaw, generally used on busy days to maximise throughput whilst still offering a decent ride. Many years ago I put together a list of links to all known cycles for the TS wiki. It was never operated on manual for guests as there was no manual control for the gondola holding brake

(Setting 3: video no longer online - it was similar to the above but only did 1 flip instead of 4)

EDIT:

The op could deviate from the above list to a degree, it was possible to stop a cycle mid-way through and then start another. This was most commonly seen by starting off setting 8 then switching to 4 at the mid point.

Couple of comments on the 90s vid - the park looked far busier than it typically is today but with no fastrack, RAP being almost non-existent and with a strong focus on capacity over safety, ride throughputs were clearly far higher on many rides so the park still coped. The most obvious "wouldn't see that now" moment was the staff member climbing around the outside of a moving rapids boat to get to the far side of the station
