It's great to finally see a travelling freefall drop tower in the UK! If it ever comes anywhere near me I'll be straight there!
I thought HangOver at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland was a travelling freefall drop tower of a very similar ilk to this one?

As @John_P said, this one looks to be permanently based in the UK and will be travelling around the country. We've not had a travelling free fall drop tower based in the UK before I don't think.

I know a shot tower isn't the same as a drop tower, but we did used to have a 140ft tower called Big Ben, which was owned by Mellors. According to Coaster Kingdom it was built by Zamperla. I remember riding it at Funder World in Bournemouth.

I'm pretty sure there was another too, I definitely remember 2 drop towers at Goosey around 2003; Big Ben and another.

While I generally don’t ride them, I know some on here are partial to a good kiddie coaster, so I just thought I’d let you all know that for any members from Wales or South West England, Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland appears to have a coaster credit on offer this year! It’s called Santa’s Express, and at first glance, it looks like an SBF or something of that ilk (I didn’t like to get too up close and personal to it to examine further, as I didn’t want to look suspicious…):

The event starts on 14th November and runs throughout Christmas. For those familiar with Cardiff, it’s in Gorsedd Gardens, near to the City Hall and Cardiff University (hence why I know, as it’s less than a 5 minute walk from my lecture buildings… I walk past it every day on my way to uni and back!)

It’s not big, I know, but I know how some on here like a kiddie coaster, so if you’re based near Cardiff (or fancy a disproportionate journey to Cardiff…) and do not share my hesitation about riding kiddie coasters, there’s a bonus +1 on offer for you this year!

Looks very similar to, if not the same ride, as Baron Harniess' Little Thunder Railroad/Santa's Express, that did Cardiff Bay earlier this year and Hull Fair plus it attended the same event last year.

Have Mellors scrapped the ex-AA Runaway Train? I never got a chance to catch it while it was on the circuit, it was probably the best powered Mine Train coaster I'd been on when it was at AA tho, really packaged a punch.
