The Merlin VIP Annual Pass

I expect the bare minimum, as always with Merlin. In the grand scheme of things given the limited number of VIP pass holders then yes, of course it won't make the largest impact imaginable. However, every little helps.
But not compared to the direct negative impact on disabled VIPs.

No

But i won't have to look at badly dressed people in diy hoodies wearing there VIP passes around their neck any more:cool:
No. You will have to suffer badly dressed people in diy hoodies in the queueline complaining that VIP should come back as it was the best.

Looking at that Facebook page I reckon a mass email to Nick Varney is on the horizon requesting an extension until the end of season.

Evening all.

If rap really was why some bought vip then won’t you be complaining and making a fuss until Merlin make the sweeping changes to rap that is discussed in the other thread?
Considering people have been going on at Merlin for ages what's the point?

No considering its pretty damn relevant!

If there are genuine non physical disabilities that mean you can’t queue but can attend a theme park by yourself then the solution is for those people to canvass Merlin to explore ways RAP can be adapted to meet those needs.

Obviously the kicker is going to be proving it but using one product to deal with the weaknesses in another system is first costing disabled people money they shouldn’t have to spend (and it’s well established those with disabilities often have lower incomes), and fails to fix the problems by hiding them.

Chessingtons rap system is a start but ASD is an instant "needs carer".

Glad the VIP pass is going. I predict Merlin are going to push seperate park passes more now. (Annual Parking pass, Annual fastrack pass, Premium season pass etc.)
Will be very interesting regarding this, the parking has always been the reason I’ve went for premium as it’s immensely good value compared to standard. I too can see a pass structure like six flags who also so separate parking passes

I already have a seperate parking pass for Thorpe. £21 is good value for the year and the seperate passes lowers the price of the season passes. This in turn makes it easier for Merlin to get people into renewing them.
