Thoosies...Why the hate?

I'm not upset the word is banned (although I do think that that's silly), I just find it strange that people are so against it

If only it were the days when the words in the filter were well into double figures...the outcry there would be these days!

As my freedom of expression has been curtailed involuntarily, I feel it is time I involved the Index On Censorship, the nice voluntary group that supports the freedom for open debate, and campaigns against all communication repression.
The restrictions imposed on this site are very dodgy for a group that considers itself a place of free expression and equality.
Discrimination and repression of debate is wrong on so many levels.
I don't like the words you use...but you are not equal.

You're being allowed to express your opinion on the subject. If you were seriously censored this topic would be locked, certainly on other forums the moderators are much more harsh.

Anyway why does that word stop at 2 o's?

I can hear that being said in my nightmares now. Some random shouting it louder and louder and for longer and longer periods of time as the o's are added

And yes, it's closed season, we're bored (you try summarising the stuff of worth in the Nemesis topic!) so it's a bit of a **** take that's being taken a little too seriously - this is the Tavern after all! It harks right back to TTF and a certain team member on here having a love of a certain supermarket back in the day - and so a filter (that was in place forever, not just a short period - even coming to this forum for a while!) was in place that renamed said supermarket to "Lidl round the back of the Hotel Colosseo" on every occasion.

As for censorship, the point is just like "Lidl round the back of Hotel Colosseo", the majority know what you're going on about and they're well aware of the word filter. It's a bit of stupid silly fun is all, nothing more nothing less! Also it's mad I'm having to make a serious post in the Tavern. Back to **** posting please 🤣
