Wonder if they mean anything đź‘€
X No Way out return perhaps ride still there wouldn't be hard to retheme it back to that with original theming and maybe some additional theming on top.

Maybe a new scare maze they have plenty of room round the park for one Maybe underneath Depth Charge where Containment used to be

I think a large chunk of people here are too young to have been on the original version - the ride essentially had no theming other than industrial sound FX (the queue was significantly better themed complete with fake lift Ă  la Nemesis Sub-Terra until a large part of it was permanently closed off).

Maybe it could be a remake with some significant changes

Unless the Walking Dead licence is expiring re-theming a 30 year old ride yet again seems like a colossal waste of money.
Saying that place like Towers rethemed Around the World in 80 Days Boat Ride 3 times after, and it's over 40 years old.

Plus Flying Fish was rethemed 3 times

I would expect the X poster to either be hinting at something in the bottom of the pyramid where HDMI Error Maze was or it's trying to look like the X in the bathroom of the original SAW film, painted in UV.
2010s were weird - they kept trying to bring Fright Nights type things all year round with, I’m a Celeb, Black Mirror, Walking Dead and of course, blowing it all on Derren Browns. You could also bring up Ghost Train, but that was probably a re-theme out of obligation. Did anyone even like the low capacity, kind of naff walkthroughs anyway? Why did they keep building them!? There must of been a reason because they made at least four of them! I know they where cheap but they weren’t good! And they dropped like flies anyway.

Remember for their 40th anniversary their investment was a temporary escape room, a few game consoles and a bouncy castle?

Maybe they wise-nd up and realised Fright Nights was all they were good at anyway.

The way I worded all that is in retrospect, which I hope stays true.

They weren't bad experiences, Derren Brown's Ghost Train Rise of the Demon was a cool experience just unreliable ahead of its time. And they all were fun.

While I definitely know people who thought it was cool, I wouldn’t say it was ahead of it’s time. Deciding to incorporate a new technology that was and still is rapidly improving was a sure fire way to make the ride look dated in about 2 years.

Let’s also analyse these fantastic 2005 source engine looking graphics:5EEB7A54-B3B5-4574-B254-4E4EC0E6C73F.jpeg

While I can’t say I went in it while it was around, did anyone even find the VR scary? I know there was a bit at the beginning that could’ve been scary with the beggar, but then you have the weird walkthrough bit in the middle - tangent incoming, but why did they change the scene in there where from what I heard you almost got hit by a train? That sounds awesome! Finally, you get back on the train and watch… London explode? And these weird generic demon things just muck about. Was… was that even scary?

I will give it that the floating train looked very interesting, and the theming for both stations was - and still is - very convincing and realistic. Ride system is also very peculiar.

Honestly I think more than enough time has been spent trying to get ghost train right.

Personally I think they should just keep it as it is until they are ready to get rid of it. People know what it is and have the choice to experience it or not by now.

To sink even more money into correcting this walkthrough seems like a waste after so many attempts.

That's why you completely change the idea, just reuse the ride system. Could be themed to anything you like.
Agreed- I think though they should make it less actor led. The acting in there is atrocious - “Don’t go to chapel station!” “Let’s go the chapel station!) “don’t go to chapel station” The GCSE drama VIBES are strong.

The biggest mistake they made with the latest re theme is getting rid of the suspended carriage - surely one of the best parts of the attraction and the biggest wow factor.

Even doing it as just an audio experience like Darkfield would be better than the incarnation at the moment.
