Looks like a new Pivot point for blade
Looks like blade will be remaining for another season or two
I thought the TLC campaign had finished
That's been there since at least mid-December, I'm fairly confident it's not new. Possibly repainted but nothing more major.
Message posted on the Towers Loving Care Facebook page regarding TLC over this winter
“has become” are they implying it wasn’t before
Because it wasn't in general. I think Wayne Burton has a huge passion for Alton Towers and him getting the role of head of product excellance is helping the park push as much as they can with the money they have to make the small changes that give a better product.
As @AstroDan was saying, it used to be fan sites like TS, TT, ATA etc that would show off the work going on in the winter. In the last few years the team at AT wanted to show off some of the work they are doing themselves as well as the bigger projects like Nemesis repaint, Hex and the attempts on Duel. I agree much of this should have happened anyway and some of the smaller tasks probably would, but the Nemesis repaint is the sort of task that needed a dedicated budget.
TLC was used as an "excuse" on Charlie when the license on the characters ran out. But in general the objectives of the project seemed good intentions to share some of what is happening, not just marketing.
There is no Alton, only Zuul.
This was posted on FB a few days ago, looks like more work is being done to the blade,
It’s another Triggers broom situation. Can’t be much original left now.
Looks like the mono rail has gone Green, photos taken from TT FB page
That looks absolutely AWFUL
It’s very, um...green.
Who thought that was a good idea..?
Matches the RBO though.
I actually quite like it! Very vibrant, and it definitely matches the style they're going for on Towers Street, if you ask me!
The exact same green as box office and towers trading...
Box Office and Towers Trading are different shades. Box office is darker. That looks like the same bright green as Towers Trading.
The difference between this and TS is that when you're in the park you've got lots of buildings all with different colours, so it sort of works. The monorail station is all on its own so doesn't have the other buildings to contextualise it. It's just a bright green monstrosity.
