Is it one of them fancy Apple Retina displays with a resolution that makes HD inferior? ;)

Is everyone projecting their computer displays onto a cinema screen or is my PC monitor unusually small?

:D

I don't know why so many people are having problems with it!

It fits mine as snug as a bug in a bug sized rug!

No! I resent that remark :p. 'Tis a 23" Dell, so big, but not massively massive. Just a bit generous on the pixels ;).

Thanks for widening it Joel! Much appreciated, looks even better now :D

The Scarefest TS logo looks great! Love the subtle details like the crosses in front of the towers - so slick and professional looking.

Having the SW7 in the flash window on the website. Was it from my idea?

;)

If I knew what SW7 in a flash window you meant and what idea it was you had then I might have said yes, but as I have a clue to neither then it must be a coincidence sorry :p

So I actually had a read back through the thread and it makes sense now :p (been busy with Uni life recently so not kept a close eye on things!).

And unfortunately not still, as the 'flash'* scroller came before your drawing, sorry :p

Still, a nice wireframe design for the site, I like some of the ideas in it. The curvy top perhaps is a little reminiscent of TowersTimes, but it's still good to see others ideas and inspiration for the site though! Awesome stuff :D

*By the way just to be a web design pedant, its not vile Flash either, its jQuery ftw! Ewww icky Flash.... having to use it at Uni too ftl. But more on my hatred of Flash another time ;)

Flash? What's that? Thought both apple and Google got rid of that years ago :p

27 inch! :eek:

I didn't even realise that existed, let alone anyone could afford one :p

Where do you see the bold text? The site header, main site pages, forums?

Could you post up a screenshot. :)

You could avoid this problem by splitting the background gradient away from the face image, and then displaying them separately - repeating the gradient across to fit whatever monitor size is necessary, and then always displaying the face.

Quick example (face div is backgrounded in blue):

ynydI.png

CSS for this:

Code:
position:absolute;
right: 0;
z-index: -1;
background: blue;
width: 500px;
height: 500px;

The ticker will no doubt be removed when the technical people of the team get back from Towers. :)

Can I suggest having a look at the recommended stories feature in TS news? I was presented with a "Top 8 Cleavages" story when I was looking at the latest ScareFest story!
