Can I suggest having a look at the recommended stories feature in TS news? I was presented with a "Top 8 Cleavages" story when I was looking at the latest ScareFest story!

Haha, I get something far more boring... "Kenmore 79009 Refrigerator Review" :p

I can't help but think that sending a few photos of SW7 track construction photos (with the TS logo and link) to the RCDB - who currently have no SW7 photos - would be great free advertising.

*Like*

In other news, whoever modified the edit tag on posts to show #getcorrected every time someone edits something is a genius.

The navigation bar at the top appears to have disappeared...

Can't see it on any page :/

Is it me or has the font changed in the forums? Text in quotes now looks really small and the rest of the font seems to have increased in size...

I have to say that I don't like this new font at all - the old one was much better, in my view.

Well spotted... the font face is different, and kicked in to the forums because the SMF default CSS file was (still) overriding the custom site CSS we were using and using Verdana as the default font, and wasn't exactly intended that way.

I appreciate it's probably a little different as you're used to Verdana, but try it for a few days and see how you get on with it. I am trying to tweak a few of the sizes as the site and forum use different sizing conventions in the CSS which I really need to fix.

I think the body text for forum posts do look harder to read compared to the original typeface, but I think elsewhere on the forums it's nice to see the typography brought closer in-line with the main site.

However though, any bold text looks pretty bad right now as the font we're using doesn't include a version hinted for bold type, so the browser (?) attempts to adjust the weight by itself. Could we add the additional bold/700 weight version of Lato to the stylesheet?

Whoops yes! I forgot to include the other weight variants of the font.

Should be all fixed now :D

That looks so much better :) </ocd>

Any chance you could do the same for the template of the main site, so that the nav bar looks consistent? :)

Hmm, lots of issues at the moment. No BB Code formatting options above the message box, the quick reply box isn't working and there's no break lines between posts in threads. :?

Joel is working on a few things at the moment with it being late, so bare with us while things are sorted out :).

Oh, one thing I've noticed is that when you click on the 'new' icon beside the topic title, it doesn't go to the first unread post - it goes further up the page.

There is now no line breaks between each post and some posts look confusing together, if you know what I mean?

As there's no space in between...

This place is looking better and better every day (aside from when things go awry JOEL), you guys are doing jobs of greatness. :)

Yeah, as the guys have said, the site is still MASSIVELY changing and being tweaked. I wouldn't look too much into these small problems.
