Hmm... There seemed to be a problem with some of our data. If you try again now Dom it should all be up to date and working properly now though :)

If anyone finds any more problems with it let us know, as we want to make this a really useful feature for guests visiting with smaller people :)

Just a small bug - the theme park is reporting as closed on the homepage - unless theres something I dont know I believe its open :p

I really like the new weather data on both the homepage and the weather page.

Yup that looks pretty slick!

That new SW7 page is starting off great too. Will forum users be able to submit construction pics to the team to add to the number of updates/keep a more detailed diary of progress?

If you post a construction pic on the forum and are happy for us to use it say so in the post or PM a team member. We are always grateful for help.

Would it be possible to fix the drop down menus on some touch devices?

They don't work on PS Vita or Sony Xperia U, but do on iPad.

Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks. :)

I've kinda tried to improve the menus by adding a touch handler, however it seems that some platforms really can't handle their ontouch events very well, including Android's default browser <sigh>.

So hopefully you should now find that:

- Your first click on "Theme Park" or "About" menu now just pops open the menu
- Your second click on the same menu will actually take you to the page
- Touching anywhere else on screen will close any menus you have open

Best to try this with the 'About' menu as it is linked properly (Theme Park isnt launched yet to link to its main page).

If your device pops open the menu when you touch 'About', great. If it briefly opens but then takes you straight to the 'About' page without touching anything else, then booo, it seems to suffer from this ghost click issue which is just beyond my patience right now thanks to my epic tiredness :p

Let me know anyway. Unfortunately I don't have a plethora of devices to test the touch handler on (only android phones/tablets!) :D

Yeah, it's working now!
Cheers!

And the SW7 minisite is great!
It's very informative and easy to use!

Great work so far!

It will be your browser clinging onto the old cached versions of the icons, a quick refresh will fix it, or it will fix itself once the old image expires in your browser cache :D

If refreshing doesn't fix it, press ctrl+F5 to force refresh all cache content for that page.

Getting this on the sites main page:

"Notice: Undefined index: PATH_INFO in /home/ts/towersstreet.com/site/includes/core.php on line 28

Notice: Undefined variable: dynamic_page in /home/ts/towersstreet.com/site/includes/core.php on line 162"

For some reason I keep getting a basic white version of the homepage with Times New Roman font? Like the CSS/theme isn't loading.

I've been thinking about the home page and the part which says:

Theme Park Info

The park is currently open for today

I've noticed that it only says open when the park is actually open (so between normal opening hours), which is a nice idea but the last few times I've logged on it's been before 10am and after 6pm and I've panicked after seeing the words closed and today in the same sentence. Might it be better if this section was altered to read open and closed for the whole day regardless of if it's within park hours or not? Or maybe remove the for today so that it reads "The park is currently closed" with a separate message when the park really has had to close saying "Today the park is closed".

Ps. Love the SW7 link. I still think it’s missing something, maybe a boarder, but I’m sure when you’ve finished styling everything else it’ll all fit together.

like this?
http://www.towersstreet.com/talk/?wap2 ?

If so you might have a link at the bottom called return to full site.. If not then you are probably have a problem with your browser as its appearing fine for everyone else.

No, it wasn't like that - it was the normal homepage however without any colour or theming. As though the stylesheet hadn't loaded. It's back to normal now, however, so hopefully it's fixed :)

Joel was doing some work on the weather widget last night which caused temporary issues with the stylesheet loading correctly. It was also kicking out the errors BigDave mentioned above. Should all be fixed now though :D.

Small error: when you put smilies in a post that also has an embedded YouTube video, the smilies don't show up. Or is that just me?

Also, I don't seem to be able to edit some of the older posts. :)

I'm not sure about the YouTube/smilie bug, I'll look into that as its probably something to do with the plugin for it ::)

The allowed edit time for posts had been set at a very trusting high time since our incarnation, but we have had to decrease to an hour temporarily as we've seen a little abuse of it recently by people who think it OK to cause trouble/be abusive/post off topic then quickly edit all their posts/thread before its reported to a moderator and thus we can't see the content or post with the issue(s) to deal with appropriately.

We'll likely look at adding the 'post edit history' app back again (which requires an edit to the forum software) so that all edits to posts are logged and we can restore a longer editing time again once that's in place.

Sorry if this has already been brought up but just a quick point about the SW7 mini-site in case nobody has noticed. In the construction section the photos for the 5th May and 6th August are showing up exactly the same, both lots of photos are from the 5th May. Apart from that the mini-site looks fantastic!

:)
