Still getting this issue at the top of the page, have been for a while - on Chrome :)

Damn you and your long username :p

Haha, it only occurs with Afternoon as well, it's normal with Morning although the r of Psychoaster does extend slightly over the yellow border :)

I don't know why but ever since I've had my Username changed I can only access my my profile by clicking on Profile or on my user at the top of the page.

If I try to access it by clicking on my user in any other way then it comes up with this:

Error.png

Is this the same for anyone else if they try to look at my profile. And is their anyway that this could be sorted? :)

Yes it happens for me when I click your username as well :)

I've just tried to fix it for you Ryan but doesn't seem to be working. Leave it with me and I'll take a proper look in the morning :).

You might have got a couple of password reset emails as a result of what I've done on your account - just follow the instructions in the latest email you've received :).

All fixed for you, sorry about that! :p

Future note to future self: Username changes require a refresh of the Pretty URLs database :p

Not really sure where to put this, so feel free to delete but I am having a warning message about content on the site (McAfee Security Centre) when I open it up.

Can you like... elaborate any more at all? Does it say what kind of warning, or whats causing it at all? :?

I have no idea what it is, and really need some information to try and figure it out :(

LOL how random! never mind, let me know if it comes back :D

Seeing as the theme park section has now been launched, will we be seeing a 'history' section at any point in the future? The history section on TT was very interesting, and I hope that something similar will make its way onto here. :)

A history/archive section will certainly be appearing at some point in the future. We will be aiming to launch a resort section on the site too. I believe the resort part of the site is next on our list of things to do. :)

I will leave a proper answer to Joel Ian and Squiggs (the site holy trinity) but as you can see each ride has a history tab and it would be impossible to have Squiggs on the team and not have history in abundance :)

EDIT: what James said

Hopefully, there will be a history section emerging at some point, but as shown here these things don't happen overnight! :p

There's an awful lot of history to write, so it will take time. Also, we want to focus in getting all the 'current' content live first, as this is what will be most useful to the majority of our visitors. In the mean time there are other sites out there who can be used to look for details on history. We'll have something at some point!

Damn you Alton for being so rich in history!!! :p

Upon boarding your restraints are checked and then the floor beneath you drops, and you begin the journey. The lift hill is quite long, yet you never get more than a few metres above the ground as it takes you up the side of the. Once at the top, there is a small dip and a turn to the left that takes you over the cascading blood-effect waterfall and into the first inversion, where Nemesis begins to unleash it's wrath!

Missing a word here are we? :) I'll add anymore findings onto this post at a later point.

Not sure it really makes sense on each ride page: "Opened On: 1994" etc. Surely unless you are including the exact date, it should be "Opened In"?

Unfortunately, this is one of the shortfalls of the system we are powering the site with. Details from the sidebars are filled into a standardised form which is the same for all attractions. Every ride on the site uses the same form to create the page, so either way we will end up with some being wrong.

Hopefully, we'll be able to find more facts and figures, as we're always looking and researching to find the most accurate and useful information to use on the site to ensure we can be the premier guide to Alton Towers :)

Incidentally, if anyone does know of any more precise or missing figures feel free to let us know, and we will look to include them in the site pages :)

Would be good if you could find the time to add the specific date for each ride/area as well then. I know it would be tedious and most dates would be basically the same but it would look much more refined and professional :)

On the Old McDonald's Farm page, it states that the foot and mouth crisis was in 2002, whereas it was actually in 2001. Also, in that same paragraph, I believe it should read (corrections emphasised in bold) 'Although the park's animals were not infected'. Just a couple of minor things that could do with being sorted out when possible. :)

Oh we are as I say always looking to refine our info.

It's just a case of firstly, the time, as it can take a while to find some of this information, and as a team a lot of us to have other 'Real Life' commitments unfortunately! Also, it's important that we verify our facts. We wouldn't want to be publishing incorrect information :p

Lastly, some of this information is a lot harder to find than you may think! It took us ages to find some facts (A few of which have been a mystery for years! :p ), and it was only through searching many resources (Not just online) that we uncovered them!

I think this is where some of the wording has led to confusion. What the page is meant to be saying is that in 2002 the park removed the animals, as a result of the outbreak, which is indeed what the park did. I'm just rejigging the wording to avoid further confusion.
