Not sure if this has been brought up previously or if it is something that you can do....but I would love to be able to give thanks to topics within the tapatalk app......like you can on some other forums....just an idea!
 
In all honesty, we know things need changing on the site, and we all work behind the scenes on a daily basis on both large and small projects. I personally got stuck into some new material last weekend, but I'm dependent on Joel to get it onto the site *kick*.

Joel breaks things. Regularly *kick*.

Joel gets shouted at by me. A lot. *kick*

See a theme here? ;)

So does the team not have access to Wordpress for editing or does Joel just do it all?
 
Nope, the whole team has the ability to edit the site, news, rides and attractions, as well as all other aspects like social media etc.

However they unfortunately like to find far too many bugs and issues, and then its my job being the coding guy to fix them in order of priority :p

In Saz's example, the menu should have sprouted a new Meets section, but when it's added in Wordpress it doesn't propagate out over the site as it should with my wonderful homebrew/Wordpress/SMF bridging going on. Another bug to add to the list... but I will kick it to show Saz's new menu option shortly ;)

I'm generally kept busy between developing new things and fixing old things, but both slip my mind frequently, which is why the team then beat me up ;)
 
On the plus side he (and at times Squiggs) gets things out of WP that are far from standard for the platform (some of which isn't obvious on the face of it). TS isn't run on just basic WP structure as far as my limited knowledge understands.

I know this is soppy but Joel puts a lot of effort into the site, as much as we can add content it's all on the back of what Joel codes. We know some parts of the site are a little behind the times (then again some other parts like the Christmas event are bang up to date) but thats usually because we are considering other strategies.

Can I just say that this new "Who's going" Feature is a bloody brilliant idea! It's very cool feature and easy to keep track of (To see who's going) and I love the notes idea as well, makes for a nice interesting piece of extra information.

Loving the site! Keep it up TS team! =)
 
Yes this is a great idea, allows better planning for everyone, as log as everyone uses it of course. In regards to the group photos, I think it would be good to have a title on them ie date, event etc

Please don't laugh at me being pretty much a technophobe (in comparison to people on here) but...

What 'language' do you use? Just because my hubby does coding as his job and has recently joined TST so could help out maybe? But it depends on what language you use! I really should get him to check this to see if I'm making any sense at all haha! When people ask me what he does I just respond "computers" :D
