Trip Planning: Information, advice and questions!

Out of curiosity, where did you receive this information from?
The accessibility section of the website, although it now states that the current waiting time has to pass before you can use the same attraction again (which could be longer than an hour on busy days).

Ah, I hadn't caught that update since I last looked a few weeks ago, thanks.

Having used Europa-Park's system twice in the last year during busy holiday periods (March-April and December-January), I think your family will be just fine. The accessible queue/exits for major attractions never had me waiting any longer than perhaps 10 minutes. Just be mindful you'll likely be doing a load of train load dodging whilst walking up exits to 'accessible' queues. The worst is Wodan as you have to scale a big staircase to the station whilst avoiding at least 2 train loads. Silver Star is similar except it's just one staircase followed by a ramped path through the gift shop. I'd also advise that the Green Card only has 6 ride slots and can only be used once per day for 3 people or more.

Also you have to leave at least an hour before riding the same attraction again with the pass.

Thank you both.

I was of the understanding that you could return and get a new Green Card when full (much like RAP at AT), is that not correct? Not a deal breaker if not as my wife will happily sit out the intense rides but a bit of a shame if we can only go on 6 attractions together.

Presumably the re-ride policy is somewhat loose considering there's no way of documenting the time unless they're writing in on the card?

I emailed Guest Services earlier this year for confirmation and I received a reply saying it's limited to one per day.

Efteling we managed mostly without using the RAP as the queues were generally nicely themed, constantly moving and a maximum of approx 20 minutes. I got the impression Europa was similar in terms of the first two aspects but i gather the more popular attractions (and it being Halloween/Xmas) would likely have significantly longer queues?

I suspect it might be more prudent for our first visit to be at a quieter time of year...

Yes, I'd say so, regardless of your personal circumstances. As has been said, EP, when really busy, is still more manageable than any Merlin park when similarly attended, but at the end of the day, it's still a hugely busy theme park. That Halloween week is chaotic, especially if the weather turns out well, which is still often the case in Southern Germany. Christmas is more manageable.
