The Snowman And The Snowdog was by far the television highlight this Christmas, with a fantastic soundtrack which thankfully lacks the corniness of its predecessor (as much as I love the original, I'd never sit around listening to the soundtrack). 'Light The Night', which is essentially the new 'Walking In The Air', may not be as iconic - but as a standalone song it's miles better. Truly beautiful, and really works with the new film.
A random song from every disc of every album I own which came out in 2012:
A Time Will Come by Thunderkraft (Album is Totentanz)
Fecal Forgery by Aborted (Album is Global Flatline)
Incongruous by Beneath The Massacre (Album is Incongruous)
Broadcast To Damnation by Caliban (From the first disc. Album is I Am Nemesis. )
High Hopes (Pink Floyd Cover) by Caliban (From the second disc. Album is I am Nemesis)
The Demons Name Is Surveillance by Meshuggah (Album is Koloss)
99 Percenters by Ministry (Album is Relapse)
Vermilion by Slipknot (From the first disc. Album is Antennas To Hell)
Sic (Live) by Slipknot (From the second disc. Album is Antennas To Hell)
Knives by Feed The Rhino (Album is Metal Hammer 227: New Year Revolutions)
The Unforgiven (Metallica Cover) by The Defiled (Album is Kerrang! Presents: Metallica, The Black Album Covered)
I know I keep going on about these, but I think 2012 truly deserves remembering. Those Olympics have inspired me so much, so I have to think about this great year for Britain.
