What are you listening to?

Relaxing with a bit of frank turner on in the background of Bradley wiggins a year in yellow

Having a bit of a J.S. Bach-fest atm, particularly as interpreted by the late American pianist Glenn Gould, who is considered one of the best Bach exponents of the 20thC.

So I've re-listened to his Goldberg Variations: http://open.spotify.com/user/1161631353/playlist/1kyxdfJfm34JFAtl7RZCMf

Then I looked into some of his Keyboard Suites:

In this the English Suite No. 2 in A Minor is particularly good. Love those Bourrées!

And over the last two nights I've been checking out Gould's recordings of the two books of 'The Well-Tempered Clavier', which are books of Preludes and Fugues in all 24 keys, starting with C Major, and working all the way through to B minor:

While Gould is considered a great, he was rather an eccentric. This has led to what some consider an inexcusable and insurmountable obstacle to listening to him: you can often hear him humming along in the background - sometimes not very tunefully - as he plays.

Working on my own today and had a good listen to kasabian- West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum
