Which ride would you bring back?

The one ride I would bring back but I'd be very happy if they bought in a spiritual successor like with potentially Ripsaw is The Flume.

It's the one ride type the park is missing and haven't attempted to fill the gap since removal.

The one ride missing ? There loads
But get your drift - I miss it too

Charlie & The Chocolate Factory but themed by Tim Burton and the elevator would be a horizontal launched drop tower.

I honestly don't get why Alton Towers went with the more traditional Quentin Blake illustrations instead of the Tim Burton film with Johnny Depp when the ride came out not long after the film.

I know Roald Dahl's family were protective of the IP which may have limited the longevity of the Alton Towers ride and why Oakwood had to rebrand Dahlland to Spooky Street.

It was a more faithful adaptation so I'd speculate they may prefer a version based on the Tim Burton film over one based on the book and Quentin Blake's illustrations which seemed cheap in my view on the videos I've seen.

I thought it'd have been a fantastic tie in with the film and made it more popular initially.

Presumably much more expensive licensing involved.

They would have needed to pay Warner Bros.

Also that film was terrible. There is a reason the new one last year was a prequel to the Gene Wilder Wonka and not the Depp one.

Makes sense, I'd thought it'd make a good tie in at the time - it still wouldn't have aged as well either way though.
