Quick trip to Asda around 30% still in masks. In terms of staff mask wearing I only seen a couple. In fact there were 15 or so all round in a huddle near check outs and non had masks on.
Morrison’s, though I haven’t been inside only observed people going in and out, it would seem very similar numbers wearing masks but can’t comment on staff as didn’t see any though last week I only seen a handful of staff wearing masks.

on buses I’ve seen single decker seems to be around 90% wearing which is on par with recent weeks though usually being worn as chin warmers, and double deckers almost nobody upstairs wearing which again is on par with observations in recent weeks. Not seen trains today but last weekend when I used a train was around 20% wearing though the train didn’t feel that busy being 6 carriages instead of the usual 3.

Just wandered to Morrisons at lunch, every shopper in there seemed to have a mask on, which surprised me (in a good way).

It’s actually surprised me the amount of customers wearing masks. I would saying almost every customer has wore a mask. I also went to my local Morrison’s and almost all customers had masks on.
However the majority of staff aren’t wearing them. But I know what it’s like to wear a mask 8+ hours a day, and it’s not great, especially in this heat, which is why I guess customers are carrying on but most staff have stopped.

However visiting a theme park is completely different, at Thorpe on Monday I barely saw any guests or staff wearing masks. Just a handful of staff wore them across the whole park.

However all staff in Burger King had masks on, but I’m assuming that’s probably company policy for them to continue to wear them.

Its likely that the kitchen set up for burger king means its hard to work socially distanced, so their risk assessment concluded that masks are required.

Indeed, and businesses still have to do risk assessments. Covid regulations may well have gone but Health and Safety at Work regulations are very much still here, so employers have to take Covid in to account when it comes to ensuring workplaces are safe for their staff.

At my local Sainsbury's I'd say the number people wearing face coverings is unchanged. People are, for the most part, still wearing them. It will be interesting to see if that wanes in the coming weeks or if people keep it up.

A little late to the discussion but personally I will continue to wear my mask on public transport, in shops and other confined spaces for the most part as a courtesy for others who aren't yet comfortable being out and about in areas with people without masks. Since the rules have changed I've been on multiple train and bus journeys and found that its somewhat hit and miss whether a majority of people are with or without masks, some journeys it was only me, other journeys it was nearly everyone. Similar cases in shops. I work in a pub and as a company policy staff are continuing to wear them but customers aren't required to, which firstly often causes confusion as customers sometimes see us in masks and panic that they need them, but that aside a lot of customers do still choose to wear them when walking around, I'd say around 50/60%.

Another issue with masks that I have that I haven't seen mentioned here (however I can imagine why) is how they rub off half of my makeup, which I know is a very frivolous issue but still frustrating when I've spent time getting ready only for it to end up on my mask instead, and so in some scenarios that would be why I would choose not to wear one from now, since they don't bother me that much otherwise

It's definitely a mixed bag, I just nipped in the Sainsbury's Local near the station and every person in there had a mask on. Likewise, I am now on the train home and everyone in the carriage bar one guy is wearing one, yet yesterday on the same train, it was 50/50.

Been on several train journeys again and would say there is generally more people wearing masks than not, but I would note in most places it does seem to be either fully one way or the other, which makes me think people tend to gauge whether o not theyll wear their mask based on what they see other people doing.
