Hello all! :)

My first post on this excellent new forum. Lets hope this community continues to grow.

I wanted to try and start a decent topic for my first post so here goes.

Post your favourite and best photos you have taken, they don't have to be coaster related photos, just photos that you are very pleased with. Also giving some details of the photo would be cool to.

So I will start off with a few photos of mine that I think are great and I am really pleased about.

IMGP2145.jpg

This is a picture of the Palace of Culture in Warsaw. It was taken on my very old Pentax 3.2mp camera. Taken from the Warsaw Marriott.

dragonflybig.jpg

Again this photo was taken on my old Pentax but it was a great shot.

This was from a recent holiday to Krakow. It is of St Marys Church in the old square bathed in beautiful evening sunshine.

So lets see your best photos!

Good to see this topic come around, I was considering making it soon!

The most recent stuff I've taken was for my A2 photography work, heres a few of my best stuff:

Iceland

I recently went on a trip to Iceland, and it quickly became my favourite places. The sheer vastness and rawness of the country stretching out for miles and miles is a truly stunning sight of a place quite like none other. The waterfalls were particular interest to me:

Gullfoss by JonnyFoulger, on Flickr

Train Lights

This was an experiment I did for my unit of "Transport and Travelling" for school. Came out really well, and I'm chuffed with the results.

Time for a plug! My website.

So after messing around with my camera, I took this one of my dog. She fidgets a lot, so don't think it came out too bad.

A few that I'm proud of (other than sports photography which is what I usually do):

A few people gathered, silhouetted against the sunset at Cape Sounion in Greece

A panorama of the Collserola mountain range just out of Tibidabo in Barcelona - the structure on the left is the Torre del Collserola communications tower

A view of Sorrento harbour, Italy

A bit of an abstract one but I liked it, think it could work as a square crop also with the rainbow

And finally.... a sunlit cymbal with a rather fitting brand name

I'm trawling through old topics on other forums to try and find some photos I've taken. They've been taken on a mixture of an old 6MP digital camera, a 35mm film camera, my old 3.2MP phone camera, and my lovely new 14MP digital camera.

This was taken at the British Grand Prix in 2009 at the finale of the display done by the Red Arrows before the race. I'd never seen them before, but they truly were amazing. Taken on the straight between Club and Abbey on the last race weekend using the old layout - this straight is where the new pit lane is located.

A side view of the Houses of Parliament when I visited London with college in December 2010. It was taken on my Samsung Tocco Lite (my phone), but I'm still quite impressed with it!

A shot of Oblivion when I visited Alton Towers in June 2011. It would've been better if I'd caught a shuttle going down as well, but even so, I quite like it! Again, this was taken on my phone.

Another shot of Oblivion, taken later that day.

This one was taken on my phone (surprise, surprise) on a coach on the way to Lyme Regis. (That explains the bit to the right, BTW. :p) It was taken whilst crossing the bridge over the A30 at the Innis Downs junction.

A clump of trees on top of a hill by the A30 on Dartmoor, rather aptly nicknamed 'Clump of Trees'. :p

This one wasn't taken by me, but I still like it. It's a photo of me holding my baby cousin, Charlie, six days after he was born in June 2006. Awww<3 He's six now, and it's always such a pleasure to see him. (Taken by one of my parents)
http://prntscr.com/6vili

Another photo of Charlie, this time at six weeks, taken by me whilst he was sleeping. <3

This one was taken by my Dad a few days after I'd crashed and written off the Micra. If you're going to destroy a car, do it in some style! :p

Now for some photos I took at Alton Towers during TT@10.

I'm certain I'll end up taking more, despite only really taking photos on a point-and-shoot basis. I do apologise that some of the photos are print-screened, but I couldn't be bothered to upload them. :p

Taken on not the best camera in the world whilst being tossed around 700ft in the sky, but at least it captures the natural beauty of what I think is one of the best looking coasters in the world.

I've always been a bit of a noob with cameras, but I've recently become interested in photography.

Captured during the April Flooding:

Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, when one only remembers to turn on the light.

The following are from a recent trip to our cottage in the stunning coastal town of Newport, Pembrokeshire:

There was a bonfire in my village a few weeks ago, and I managed to get this great shot. It was taken on Instagram for my iPod Touch, but no effects/filters were used.

I love animal photography! One of the things I specialise with in photography. It's a shame because there's no opportunity for me to do a project on animals in university as my course is about being a photographic artist.

Jonathans first one reminded me of a few I took at the Southend Airshow last year which i quite liked (uploaded through facebook so have lost a lot of their quality, but meh)

I freakin love the Red Arrows, they give me goosebumps.

Shall I put photos taken in Forza here or in the xbox topic?

Hey guys! Lots of great photos here! :D
I'm a sucker for anything including water! :') Rivers, Lakes, Waterfalls, Seas, Beaches & Sunrise/Sunsets so some of these photos are right up my street! Pure Brilliance!

These are just some of my favourite photos that I have taken in the past, not necessarily the best, but i love them :)

017.jpg

I Love the pattern of the clouds here :)

This is the lead singer of The Undertones, a picture I took last Saturday when I saw them in Holmfirth.

This is one of my personal favourites of Alton Railway Station, granted it could be better in a lot of places but I'm just a bit proud:

A photo I took of 2 Metropolitan Line trains at Uxbridge Station in Middlesex, I like to call this "Old and New"

On the left is the new S Stock trains, While on the Right is the old A60 Stock. This was my last ride on the A Stock, this was taken on the 28th June

Not the best, But it's something I'm proud of :)

Now im certainly not the best person at taking photos (but im alright :p) but these photos just remind me of two great holidays I had earlier this year:

Firstly India:
