Food & Beverage 2014

That is at Hotel Bell Rock, and costs over €100 for a meal. I don't think it's fair to bring that up in any form of comparison!

:)

Not really, because this is what I said:

They've pitched all theirs now in the dicey middle ground of pretty expensive for what they are, without the quality to match.

It's a very dodgy market. You are better off having a load of cheap throw food out no one expects too much establishments and some higher quality sit down treat type places, that a glut of mid market tripe.

And based on what @AstroDan has just said, that's exactly what Europa Park have done. Cheap (for eating out) and cheerful, and very high quality. I'd imagine there are some mid range establishments as well, but it seems to be the exception rather than the rule.

And they're super successful and highly regarded.

If anything, it only further proves the point I am making really.

I don't know if anyone on here remembers or has ever bought the mozzarella sticks side order from Fried Chicken Co. at Towers, however my group did on Saturday. I believe the side price was around the £2, and they gave us 3 2 inch sticks. How can they be that cheeky?! Just wanted to put this into perspective..
£1.95 for sticks - but if you're irritated at that don't buy them at Lego Windsor. £3.95 for the same thing.

Infact don't ever go all the southern parks in the same day and look at food prices. It's ridiculous how much they differ!

Mozzarella things aren't usually cheap, they're about 1.50 in maccies. No they ain't cheap but it's one of the more "ok" prices, anymore no good.

Here are some examples of great food at EP and DLP:

All great food, makes theme parks so much more enjoyable!

My experiences with F&B at Towers yesterday were nothing short of appalling. Food sent back in Woodcutters (after they had already ran out of most of the food on the menu) and then later at the Corner Coffee bar the member of staff on the till had a serious attidude problem, plus they were only accepting cash yet didn't tell you this until you came to pay.

Towers F&B need to get their act together next year.

From what I've heard this year, F&B has been abysmal. What with B&J stalls not opening on what were the hottest days of the year at the time, people sending there food back in TS Bar and Grill up to 5 times (!), cold food, appalling service in Explorers, generally shoddy food in Burger Kitchen and so much more I can't think of off the top of my head.

We had great service at Pizza Pasta at lunch but Pirates Pasty at 6pm was having similar issues to you in Corner Coffee. Busiest time for those outlets as everyone is in Mutiny Bay but the staff just didn't seem to be rushing or trying to speed up service in any way. We told him to serve the next customer while his colleague was getting my change! It's only one hour of busy service, they can have a break while the fireworks are on!

Fortunately this was my only complaint on park over the whole day, every other staff member in retail and ride ops was great. Only other issue was the underwhelming breakfast in Splash Landings this morning. That orange juice is just weird!

The Burger kitchen by Nemesis was really good on Sunday Night, not certain why, but it tasted better than a mcdonalds burger as well.

Is it like a self service buffet job? Are portion sizes measured or is it a free for all? I want to know if they calculate accurately per head because if they do there's no excuse for crap at that price.

They spiked your burger :D

Think it was Joel who said they were really nice. They did taste good for some strange reason (Not like that's a bad thing. Just took me by shock). I wouldn't say they were better than McDonalds tho :p

The ice cream thing they sell in Burger Kitchen at towers is £1.95, but at Legoland it is £3.25! However it is only £1.95 at Chessie!

I have to agree the one major thing that has let Alton down this season is F&B from lower quality, higher prices and some very awful service. Lets cast our minds back to April when most outlets were closed, Ben & Jerrys was closed in the boiling sun and wobble world cafe were turning customers away at 2pm as they were closing. I would love to see why the managers feel these were the right choices. Of course I have had plenty of good meals and there has been great staff, but its often the bad service that you remember and tell others about.
