I spoke to guest services on the way out, had a bit of a complain about everything being broke at one point or another. The lass just rolled her eyes at me and pointed me towards and iPad to fill out a questionnaire, she really didn't care and couldn't be bothered. Quite dissapointing really.

That's the thing with guest services now, whatever your problem is they just listen to you then make you fill out a form in one way or another. Then you don't ever hear anything back!

:)

Fairly rubbish given that I'd traveled 6 hours round trip, even if she had said sorry it would have helped. Cause u was a map holder they seem to think it's ok that I had a rubbish day out because it didn't cost anything but it still cost the neck end of £100 to get there and eat

The trusty old ipad :) I think by the end of day guest services just can't be bothered, better to go and see them around lunch time when they aren't as busy and care more :)

As much as they should be apologetic and come across as caring - I often wonder what people actually think going to guest services will achieve?

This isn't directed at anyone in particular but I have always wondered. If rides have broken down and you want to go and complain - what do people actually expect them to say or do other than apologise? Particularly if a MAP holder. Just wondered is all.

Some staff will give you free fastrack and ask you to fill out an iPad survey, actually. That's happened to me and a few others before. :)

Yeah but most people don't want the Fastrack anyway. I'm more interested in what people actually think going in to complain that a ride is broken will achieve for them. That's all. :)

Guest services are probably so used now to people coming in and complaining about things out of their control, that they have a standard response.

I'm surprised they haven't installed a pitfall trap outside the doors of Guest Services yet.

Having seen TS Facebook, the park is looking rather busy today, with a monorail queue stretching past Extraordinary Golf and big crowds at the turnstyles. I would attach pictures if I was in my computer!

Let's see how it reflects in the queue times a little later. It does seem to have picked up slightly since the start of August but still nowhere near what you would be expecting.

:)

It's now 2pm and queues are look fairy short still for the middle of an August day. The only major non-CBeebies ride with a substantial queue is Thirteen at 50 minutes although I think it is only running two trains.

However Rita is currently closed; it was down earleir in the day also. Downtime on Rita in recent weeks has been nothing short of shocking. More often than not when I check ridetimes it is listed as closed!

:)

I can't help but feel that the unreliable is carrying on the negative feelings people have towards towers at the moment. Some people are put off going all together and for those that do go most seem to be affected by downtime and wasps, not much of a "magical day out" towers need to up their game and fast before its too late

They can't do much about the wasps (ok, traps would help) and they can't do much about ride downtime either. Saying that though, there is a lot of downtime, this cat be normal.

Reliability does seem to have been a lot worse than usual recently. Several rides have been closed for extended periods, and both dark forest coasters appear to be really struggling.

Rita and TH13TEEN have gone down loads this season, on most of my visits either ride has been down at points during the day.

As for Sub-Terra at this rate it would have been closed for more days than its been open! It's been closed now since Friday.

Well, they can do something about the wasps to some extent. More traps particularly around places that sell food and drinks. Emptying the bins more frequently in the summer. Replacing the old style bins some of which have broken lids with new ones which shut properly and changing the open style bins in many of the queue lines to closed ones. The rear of ATH was a nightmare for wasps. It was impossible to sit outside there with a beer last weekend without being attacked by 3 or 4 of the buggers within seconds. Yet there were no traps around the rear of the hotel at all. Plus, I know its hot, but keeping the windows and doors closed in the restaurants would also help.
