RIP Ripsaw

@TheMan I sort of agree with that. Weren't suppose to be a deceive the Nemesis monster threw or something like that? I might be confusing it with Blade actually.
There are two possible backstories I've read for Ripsaw and Blade. The first is that they were simply scrap Nemesis threw out of the way when it was unearthed and formed its pit by thrashing about. The second is that Blade was for cutting up chunks of Nemesis for research and Ripsaw was for decontaminating scientists exposed to toxins, radiation or other nasties from exposure to it. The latter would perhaps explain the "You've just been detoxed by Ripsaw" spiel often used by Ripsaw operators.

I think I'm going to miss "please alight...to the right" the most out of this whole ordeal

For once I wasn't being pedantic! :) Every time at least one muppet would try getting off to the left, often resulting in a "clearly you people are deaf" tone of voice from the operator over the tannoy.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hahahahahahaha

Going to be chuckling away at that for a good while :tearsofjoy:

Must be infuriating!

"Please alight to your right. To your right. YOUR RIGHT."

A little off topic but I remember a few years back at Flamingoland... We were on Navigator, the ride was full apart from two seats.

Then this guy and his wife gets on and he sits the wrong way. Just look at everyone else you tool.

Then when the ride started it had to be stopped cos his wife wanted off.

Stay at home!!!

Came very close to having to do the walk of shame on ripsaw due to my strangly long body. Did anyone ever get very wet on it as I only managed to get on it in later years and the water never even seemed possible to get the riders wet, whilst ramsis gets you dreached.

Used to regularly come off it soaking (often having been blasted in the face at the end!) back in the day, but in recent years you'd barely even get a bit of spray.
I'll miss Ripsaw, was a fantastic ride in its heyday.

I remember you used to only really get wet on the back rows. Me and my friend got a sneaky day at the Park last year without any kids :D Jumped on the Ripsaw but he wasn't up for it. Loved it and so happy I decided to jump onto it not knowing it would be the last chance to. He remains gutted :D

I sat on the front row and didn't keep wet at all.
