Towers Loving Care

I've never seen people spitting over bridges myself... perchance is this a problem that only happens around easter and scarefest?

Or people try to stretch over the top of it to get a photo and drop their camera on the people below.

I would have suggested that they should just build an even higher extension to the fence. However, I doubt they'd get planning permission to build any higher! ;)

I've been spat at from the bridge on the rapids,
and I'm pleased to say I had a word or two with the young man concerned ten minutes later.
Shamed him in front of his mates to great effect.
Being a six foot four seventeen stone arse can be useful sometimes
I also complained at guest services,
so maybe the tall fences are partly my fault.
It ain't just H&S and the threat of litigation that causes these changes,
it is also Merlin's reasonable response to customer complaints.

Wonder if people tipping drinks/water on people on the rapids has something to do with it also as well as spitting/H&S. I've seen people on two occasions tipping whole bottles of water from the bridge - something that was a lot worse when I went to Port Aventura as there is a toilet near the Angkor bridge which means people keeping running up and down the stairs filling up bottles to tip.

I don't know about you, but I've enjoyed being spat on for the last 23 years. RIP sensible fencing 1992-2015.

P.S. It's got nothing to do with spitting, nothing to with spilling drinks or chunking stuff, nothing to do with dropping cameras. All of that can still be done with the new fences.

Towers have just been going fence mad over the last couple of years.

Also, the excuse of "it stops people climbing" doesn't wash either. I could still scale that new fence easily if I wanted to.

The fences appearing everywhere is just to do with some internal H&S nutjobs having a fence fetish, and they're left to get away with it sadly.

I still give a thumbs up to the TLC team for cutting out sections of the fences though, the fencing itself is not in their control, but at least they've gone out the way to polish a turd. At least there are still some people at Towers that do care about guest experience. Still waiting to see those vines in Dark Forest however...
